hi! today i am going to post a story. the whole thing just popped into my head last night, and i decided to work on it. it's called Bandit: The Tale of a Young Girl. the genres are action and friendship, rating is T for some cursing. i'm only posting a little, so if you like it then leave a comment or pm me and say you'd like me to write more. i'd be more than happy to! biggrin

Bandit: The Tale of a Young Girl

Chapter One: The Outcasts

"Oh geez, it's that girl," a rich, blonde haired girl whispered to her nearby friend in disgust.

"Ugh...her?" the friend replied annoyedly.

"Yea, the trashy one. I heard her parents left her and that she has no home. She supposedly steals stuff with her little cronies." The blonde haired girl explained.

The friend smirked. "That would certainly explain her condition."

Not too far away, chocolate colored eyes hidden beneath long, brown bangs filled with tears. They belonged to a girl with ripped clothes and jeans. She was short, probably only seven. Her skin was pale, it looked as if she hadn't had a decent meal in a while, and her hair hung in oily strands. To top it off, her clothes were filthy and she wasn't wearing any shoes. She sat in a corner of an alley, curled up and hugging her knees to her chest.

'Stuck up jerks,' she thought, icily glaring at the two nearby, wealthier girls. 'I'm not that far away...don't they know I can hear them?'

"Uh oh, she's looking at us!" the blonde haired girl replied.

"Yikes, let's get out of here!" her friend chimed in.

The two were about to run off until...

"Hold on," a raspy voice commanded. There was a cough heard as the poor girl rose to her feet, staring the other girls straight in the eyes. "Where do ya think you're goin', huh?"

The two girls gulped.

"Answer me!" the small girl barked. Surprisingly, she had a loud voice. There was a moment's silence, then a nasty smirk spread across her face. "I see. Ya gonna talk trash about me then just run off, that's what ya two want?" A loud crack was heard as the girl cracked her knuckles. "Well, aren' ya guys somethin'."

"EEP!" the blonde hair girl shrieked. "She's going to kill us!" With that, the two wealthy girls fled.

The poor girl sat down and sighed, tears still in her eyes.

"Aw, c'mon Bandit! Don' be so sad!" a small voice piped up.

Bandit turned her head, looking for the voice.

"Mel? That you?"

"Yessiree!" a cheery voice answered, approaching the alley that Bandit was in. The owner of the voice was a small girl named Mel. She was young like Bandit, only six. She has short, curly blonde hair and bright, beautiful blue eyes that almost always held an expression of happiness. Her condition was no better than Bandit's, considering that she too wore ripped up clothes and had poor hygeine.

Bandit sighed again, this time seeming more annoyed than sad.

"Them rich girls were pickin' on me again," she said, flicking a nearby pebble across the alley.

Mel giggled.

"Ha! Them people? Don' let em get ya down in the dumps!" she exclaimed, grinning. "I betcha anythin' them girls are angry 'cause they wanna have yer stealin' skills!"

At this, Bandit somewhat smiled and looked up.

"Wow, ya think so?"

"I know so! Them rich people babble on n on 'bout how it ain't fair some scrawny lil girl can steal stuff faster then can they buy it!"

Mel giggled again.

"Matter a fact, I wish I was at good as ya at stealin' stuff!"

Bandit's smile widened.

"Aw gee Mel! Ya rock! Yer one a the bes' friends I could ask for!"

Mel's whole face lit up with a smile in return.

"Same ta ya too!"

"Bandit? Mel? What are you two doing here?" a voice asked, ending the small girls' conversation.

The two turned around and saw...
