An angelface smiles to me
Under a headline of tragedy
That smile used to give me warmth
Farewell - no words to say
beside the cross on your grave
and those forever burning candles
Needed elsewhere
to remind us of the shortness of our time
Tears laid for them
Tears of love, tears of fear
Bury my dreams, dig up my sorrows
Oh, Lord why
the angels fall first

About 11 at night I found out horrible news.... It seems an actor that I adored- one that my family knew very little of- was found dead.
Heath Andrew Ledger died tonight in Manhattan, New York City.
It isn't quite clear, but it seems he passed on by the effects of sleeping pills. Suicide isn't apparent, but it still doesn't make me feel any better. Most may know him from the upcoming Batman film, where the sweet and often times shy actor plays the crazed and manic Joker.
I still can't believe it... He was only 29, and he's gone like that. So brief, and I've only witnessed how great an actor he is from viewing only a handful of his movies.
My mom didn't know who he was; dad did. In fact, he was the one that let me know first what happened, thanks to a 12 News Breaking Alert.
"What...Heath Ledger died? Really?"
"What," I cried, bolting from my computer chair and rushing into the kitchen. "He's dead?! NO! No, no..."
Sure enough, there it was: footage of a gurney, a bagged body being taken away on ambulance. The cheery reporter was droning on with the important information; I'm pretty sure that tomorrow the tabloids and gossip magazine will be wholly happy with rumors of his death, blowing it out of proportion and either tarnishing his good name or lionizing his career.
"Who's that?" Mom questioned. I could see from her face that she had no clue who he was, and was wondering why the heck I had begun to freak out and spaz.
"That's Heath Ledger! Oh god, I liked him! Oh my god... he's dead! He's dead-!!"
"I didn't know you liked him," Mom slowly said as she looked from the TV to me. "What movies was he in?"
I hesitated, mind racing to much to answer right away.
The man was in Brokeback Mountain, The Brother's Grim, The Patriot, A Knight's Tale, Casanova, and much more.
The man was shy, sweet, caring. He had a musical laugh, a timid and sometimes bashful attitude that showed up in interviews. Still, overall... he was amazing.
I'll miss him. He died far too young...
He could have gone far. But, I suppose... the heavenly deities called him home.
heart Peace out, ya'll! heart
