I went to the dentist today. Teeth are normal, as usual. It seems a common issue in my family is the canine teeth. -_- I am glad I've never needed braces, and also have lack of a sweet tooth.. I've had two cavities in my entire life, both of them when I was very young.
I've just watched a documentary of a family with some kind of syndrome that forces them to walk on their hands.. After that, a show about Spontaneous Human Combustion.. that I think was a rerun from when I was a young teen. O.o;
The dislocation in the leg is still there.. No testing done yet, appointments to have it checked canceled each time by doctor.
No update on that yet (American health care at it's finest)
Needle Biopsy for throat.. I have to wait till feb to see a woman to tell me I can see the specialist who I already saw to give me a paper to say I can have the biopsy at a hospital..
Thats if I'm not canceled AND still have insurance at the SAME time. But seeing my past luck I'll have to wait for a day when the planets align.
At work I had a coworker drop a 20 pound iron bar on my knee as I was kneeling down. This was not the dislocated one, but the healthy, not broken or dislocated one.
A spiraling piece of metal hanging on the bar punctured my leg right above the knee.
I've had my tetanus shot within the last year or two.. So no lock jaw or paralysis for me. Such a lucky one I am.. rolleyes
After arguing with XBox support for four months I finally get a system to replace the one they lost and lied to me about. They sent a refurbished system.. with no wires.. (wires were sent because they were melted and part of the damage case)
I still await a power cord and AV cables.
Half a grand. $500 was spent on a system that was not owned for a year before it broke down. It is replaced 4-5 months later with a system that is not even worth $200.. also without wires. Ah, another day, another test to my.. now saintly.. patience.
The punctured/bruised leg is.. looking psychedelic.. the dislocated one looks.. weird.. Yet I can still walk and sometimes run to a certain degree.. I chose to walk briskly if I have to rush, there is nothing holding the knee in place and bones shift and float around.. eh.. lets not get into that..
I have been taking a lot of pictures of things I would like to sell. Vintage video games I've kept in great condition since I was 6.. You'd think an adult owned them. O.o; Even some latest games, DVDs, accessories.. whatever I was willing to part with. I want to see if selling on amazon or eBay would be worth the time invested.
I've re potted my cacti. I ..never use gloves, and I was caught holding my one cactus in my hand.. (kind of how a person would hold a pine cone) while pouring soil into it's container. It doesn't p***k you if you hold them a certain way.. depends on each cactus I guess. -shrug-
I've been cooking a lot.. mostly fish dishes. I have no idea what started the interest. I've been doing a lot of things that generally were never things I thought I'd ever do or ponder about. Gardening, holistic healing, cooking, researching, internet shopping/selling.
I guess.. it's because those things are not very physical or don't require a lot of twisting or movement.. now that I've taken on these injuries I cant do the things I used to do to occupy my time with. (Martial Arts, training, teaching.. was my life)
I wonder if thats why Bruce Lee hit the books when he pulled out his back.
Well, inbetween all of the traveling to appointments and waiting in line in different places, running errands (My mother pulled out her back), work, fixing my resume, sending copies out, fighting with xbox support, organizing receipts and logging transactions in my checkbook only to find that my numbers don't match the bank statement, fighting with insurance companies, I managed to finally get out and ..briskly walk to the pharmacy at one avenue mall to send a script off for pain medicine for my mom's back and walk to a different avenue mall to get to a damned post office to send back a game I borrowed and haven't had the chance to play so I wont have to hear about it or listen to guilt trips any more. (I have enough on my --- ------ plate, I find my response would shift from saintly to explosive)
Oh, forgot to mention, I was out in the rain doing this traveling..
I got home just in time to have a major migraine, recover partially, get something in my stomach, brush my teeth and rush to the dentist appointment that was re-scheduled from ...I think a few weeks ago.
This has been the norm.. hectic.
I would like to be a kid again, maybe for a day. o_o;
I used to think growing up would grant me more freedom.. complete opposite.
Who saw that coming? -_-
