Henry pulls me into the deep, deep part of the forest.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
He turns around and flinches. We walk up to a stone stairway, into a little garden. He pulls a chair and encourages me to sit down.
I sit, and listen to what he wants to say.
"What is your name?" He asks. I lovely his french acent. I seems if his voice is a glass of water pouring into a tall, hallow cup.
I stutter a reply, "Em- Joe. Josiephine acually. But all of my friends call me Joe.... because.... I'm a tomboy.... kind of."
"Kind of?" He says.
"I- mean.... all the way!! I am... um... very boyish acually."
He nodds. "Listen." He puts his hand on my hand, in a warm way and mutters, "I hear you say I'm real."
I wrinkle my nose and think. I don't know if he's real. Am I in a dream? Thoughts come to my head thinking he isn't him.
I space out.
"JOE!" He screams, which frightens my dearly. "I am talking to you."
I close my eyes, and zone out.
Joe! Joe! Echos in my ear. I see a blue... and open my eyes.
I am in my car, dizzy, and in the middle of the rode without driving. I looked behind me. No one is there. I reckon I'm lucky that I'm the only one on the rode. I step on the gas, and drive home.
