Trying to see the lighter side
Want to turn my life around
You’ve torn me up inside
And threw me way deep down
But I’m coming back to the surface
Bringing myself back to life
You may have left without a trace
But now I know you were never worth the hype
Taking myself less seriously
Letting my smile show to anyone but you
Moved way on, quite obviously
Everyone can see it’s true
I’ve come back up to the surface
And been brought back to life
You’ve been gone and left no trace
At least I learned you weren’t worth a bit of hype
Living my life and letting you go
Making my own luck and doing just fine
You said you loved me, it just wasn’t so
That fickle heart of yours was never mine
I’ve come back up to the surface
Taking a bite out of this life of mine
Looking at someone’s truly loving face
Because you’re just not worth the time
