NO LAUGHING! i was depressed about my life and this is a true story. i swear. this song is about me.
um..its dedicated to my mom and my dad(wherever he is)
and thanks to black_at_heart for writing music for it.

WORTH THE EFFORT

He told her she was his little princess,
she was only a child so she belived
when he said "daddy loves his little girl"
before he left his princess to bleed.
she see other girls with their fathers
and she cant help but wonder "why?"
thinking "was i not good enough for him?"
and she cant help but cry.

daddy told her that she mattered,
told her that he cared.
But when she needed some one,
daddy was never there.
he took the trust she gave and
daddy tore it apart.
took the love she offered,
and daddy tore out her heart.

now after daddy left, mommy was
always looking to relpace what she'd lost
desparate to hear "i love you"
no matter what the cost.
bringing strangers in to her life.
so she wouldnt be alone,
where they hurt her little girl
when mommy wasnt home.
she listened to her mommy cry at night
because she'd been beaten too.
the little girl cried herself to sleep
and promised, "i'll never be like you"

mommy told her that she mattered,
told her that she cared.
But when she needed some one,
mommy was never there.
she took the trust she gave and
mommy tore it apart.
took the love she offered,
and mommy tore out her heart.

she grew up and thought that things were different
people wouldnt hurt her now,
but then her friends didnt need her
she'd gotten lost but and couldnt figure out how.
just becasue the didnt need her
didnt mean she didnt need them,
she knew she was a disapointment so
the ones she loved always leave her in the end.

did these people know that this girl would stay bitter?
did they know what she would become?
Cold and twisted up inside
never letting in or trusting anyone.
no, she know they didnt care
how it hurt when she belived their lies.
they wont see she's falling apart
they wont see her as she dies
all they every did was hurt, trip, and shove
now she sees she's not worth the effort it takes to love.
All any one ever did was hurt, trip, or shove
she knows she not but she wants to be , worth
the effort it takes to love
