Tell me why it is so hard to turn back
When you gaze right at me
With your hopeful tired eyes?
There isn’t any6 way to explain
The wave of emotions that run through me
With just one look from you
Tell me what it is with your stare
That makes me want
To break down at the sight of it?
Just for you to hold me
As I let out tears that have been
Locked up in my eyes
No words can say,
What it is you have done to me
But as the stars shimmer above us
I promise
I would not give up this moment up for anything
For your eyes feed my soul
And make me feel my life is worthwhile
