The unknown can be a frightening thing
Mainly because it is unfamiliar
Even though done is some of the planning
Fear comes when thinking of what is unsure
High school, I had just gotten used to it
But now it's almost time to leave this place
Don't want to leave friends behind I admit
Everything's happening at a fast pace
I'll be without the shelter of parents
Along with fear, I am also happy
How exciting is this change of events?
I have a chance to earn a top degree
High School is ending, but life's beginning
And if I do fall, I'll go down swinging
