Teen Night. Can't tell you how much I looked forward to this month's event. I'd been driven to the point of near insanity over the past two weeks at work, so this was quite the welcomed thing to enjoy. I mean, come on! It's the only time- once a month, that is- when I truly get to see all my friends! Or, at least, most of them.
I think I scared everyone there. I was dressed rather differently, I admit. I don't think anyone ever realized that I've wanted to dress gothic for a while now.
Jen Kimber had burned a CD for me. She had asked me to give her links of various songs that I loved. I gave her several PMs. She dealt with the insanity of looking up each one and burning not one, but two, CDs! Now I can jam to Mitternacht at anytime I want. Hardcore German rock, for the win! I think, though, if she hears the song Melissa one more time, I think she's going to kill me. Oh well!
Michael made the most kick a** Yugioh deck. It's brand new, using Phantom Beasts. The deck is all about combos and effects, and at least once he dumped my entire hand and field, causing all my plans to backfire on me. I can't wait to duel him again- I really don't think he has to change much. It was pretty much fully put together, with hardly a flaw, to weaken it's firepower.
I had finished Full Metal Alchemist earlier that day (and I have to say, that it one of the best Animes I have watched!!), so when I went to Teen Night I had informed Michael that I was done with it. Knowing this, he handed over a DVD. It's Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa. He's letting me borrow this so I can finally wrap up the saga. You see... the Anime ended in such a way that... well, I loved that it was depressing (too many things these days are "and they all lived happily ever after", so this was refreshing), but there was one major flaw. The ending... it wasn't even an ending. It was nothing. It just stopped. Falling away, it left a gaping plothole, and continuing error that left us, the fans, sitting there going, "is that it"!? I'll be watching it before I go to work (today; it's Saturday when I'm positing this entry). I'm wondering how this movie is going to play out!
Super Smash Brothers: Brawl... that game killed me. I can't even begin to fathom WHY they wanted to change the ONLY character I am good with (Falco), but they did, and his firepower, speed, and everything else was royally screwed with. I don't own a Wii, nor the game, so I played it for the first time Teen Night. Using Falco the first time KILLED me. Believe it or not, the second and third time I played was with the slow Lucario. He's adorable, I admit, but I hated the fact he was a bit like Mewtwo (someone who I sucked it). Still, I did better with Lucario than Falco! That's saying something... and that's SCARY.
So, that was Teen Night. Overall it was fantastic! Random chatting with friends, duelings galore, and battles on the big screen with the Wii. I love Teen Night... I'm just a tad depressed now that it's over. Then again, I think everyone is a bit sad that that one day of the month has gone so fast...
heart Peace out, ya'll! heart
