Starqueen's Journal. (October 12th, 1985.)
Meh. Random stuffs. Life, pictures, whatever.
I'm so tired of school. I love college as much as the next guy, but seriously, I'm ready for summer. My problem is, why in the heck do professors pile everything on you at the end? It makes no sense. In the best of all possible worlds the teachers would torture us to death the first 8 weeks of the semester, then for the last two weeks, let us go outside for class and take us on nifty field trips, and maybe have an extra credit quiz of two. That would be real school. This, with all the teachers piling everything on you all at once with 5 weeks left to go in every class so that you actually have to choose which class is more important, this, my friends, isn't school. It's...the Man, or something. I don't know. It's cruel and unusual punishment. Which is unconstitutional. I hate it when every teacher acts like their class is the only one you have, when hello, you have to study for a French test while simultaneously writing a world lit paper, a theatre essay, and a history book review all at the same time. And not to mention the fact that you're in academic clubs with their own functions as well. I'm desperately trying to keep my head above water here, but I'm having a hard time. Help. I just want to be an author, why am I here anyway? There are plenty of authors who didn't go to college, or who didn't go to college to be authors, at any rate. Can't I just move to Europe and travel and write? Why is that so unattainable, I ask you? *deep breath* Okay. Sorry. I just had to rant. I feel fabulous, honestly, just slightly overwhelmed is all. sweatdrop
