Treading on Dreams
Thoughts of a somewhat morbid and sometimes twisted individual.
Shrink Wrap
Funny the thoughts that pop into your head when you're alone. There's a certain freedom that you can feel when you live without anyone else in the house. Especially when it's not your house. At home, it's familiar, everyday. You don't observe things, because you know them already. Away from home, every moment has a little bit of glamour, excitement, creativity; you do or think things that never would have occured to you at home. Even the mundane sound of the dryer has a new freshness to it.

I feel a little more alert, a little more... maybe content. For now, the house I am in is mine for a week or so. It's strange, yet comfortable. I am the master of my own space, the ruler of my own time. I have more freedom to make noise, be creative, and smile without needing a visible reason to. I can compose a random tune on the keys of the white Grand in the front room, sing along with it if I please, and not worry about someone hearing my foolishness and being annoyed or questioning me. To sing the blues alone has so much more emotion to it than to sing in the company of man.

I am not myself today. I am someone with an adventure ahead. I am someone who has that perfect someone waiting for her, perhaps listening to her, or watching her, and I am someone who can glance across the room with my imagination in my gaze, and not be hindered by the presence of a real being.

And no, shrink wrap has nothing to do with this entry. I just watched the Dexter episode titled that and liked how it sounded.
