Death over life:
She thought she heard some depressing sound in her ear, but it was only her dad blowing on the top of his beer.
There was nothing new she saw, except that her brother was breaking the law.
Every night he would smoke crack, and she knew that she would have to face the fact.
That her family was changing and rearranging there lives, into something she truly despised.
She felt like getting high, as she lay on her back and looked up at the sky.
As she heard the news of her brother going to jail, she knew she would have to choose between the truth and fairy tale.
She wondered if she should just die, so she wouldn't have to cry.
(We all will meet death), she thought as she tried to stop her unsteady breath.
