A lonely happy birthday
(I know this isnt my best but hey...it was what I was feeling at the time..)


Im sure I may have asked for material things
And, what anyone said to me was nothing

Sitting here by the computer moniter,
I can see....

I know Im not that good at expressing what I feel with words
And I know now that, it meant the world
..that you loved me
..that you at leat acknologed me

All I have to do is smile,
..Smile through the good and the bad
...like wearing a mask
But what about my heart?
..What about my heart?
Could this tear it apart?

When you said "Happy Birthday" to me,
I could tell, it was forced, you were'nt happy
Deep in me I felt that someone told you to
..It was like you never said a word

With this lonely birthday, I need to smile
..Smile through the great
..and smile through the worst

Now, Im worried about my heart
My isolated heart

I tell my self over and over again
..As Im laying in my bed
That I can handle it

And, that I'll be fine
And I wont cry
I cannot allow myself...

I close my eyes
..I dont want to die,
..of this saddness

This lonelu happy birthday shouldnt bring me down...
So all I can do is smile even for a while

Im starting to think now, that Im wasting my time
Wearing a mask of pain

All I wanted from you was a simple
........."Happy Birthday"..........
