My sanity has fled....here lies the remains....
Hard.
Drove up to Fort Mill today. We were there for about 20 minutes, and we all left to go see my grandmother one last time.

That was really hard. I didn't even make it over to her before losing it completely. We all walked into the room, and I saw the casket, and they opened it, and I was gone. I turned right around and broke down in my mom's shoulder.

And to make things worse, today was a stereotypical funeral day: cloudy and rainy. It was grave side too, but luckily the rain held out on us. They didn't have anything special. Like I said, it was grave side, so it wasn't anything huge like my other grandmother's or Danny's.

So they started talking, and I started crying, because while I hate to admit it, I'm extremely emotional. Imagine that.

And then that ended, and we talked to people, and then me, my mom, Kelly, and William all escaped to find a KFC so we could have some type of food before the visitation that evening. We drove past WU because we have no clue where anything is in Rock Hill. So we just kept driving around until we found one. xD

So we bought massive amounts of chicken, and went back to the house, ate, and then the visitation started, where relatives who I'm meeting for the first time/don't remember are all saying "Lou/Your grandmother was a very special person." and then go off into some story about them. I had to bite my lip to keep my composure.

She's better off though, because she was suffering. She had really bad Altzeimers or however you spell it, and she really couldn't remember anything.

Apparently it happened like this: The people at the nursing home(because they moved her into one last week) called my dad to say that she had fallen, and that he was pretty bruised up, but nothing broken. Then a few hours later, they called again, but Dad was at the hospital, so one of the nurses at the office took the call, and called Dad.

Nurse: You need to call the nursing home.
Dad: But I already talked to them once today.
N: Yes, but you need to call them again.
D: What happened?
N: Do you want to hear it from me or from them?
D: Just give it to me.
N: She passed away.

There wasn't anything wrong with her. Her heart just decided it was time to stop fighting. So it did. She looked so much better today then she did the last time I saw her alive...which was around Christmas.

After visitations, I drove back with Kel and William, so I'm officially sick of being in a car because that's all I've done this weekend. I drove 4 hours up here yesterday, 2 hours to Fort Mill, and 2 hours back, and I'm driving 4 hours back to Conway tomorrow afternoon. So I need to get gas tomorrow....for the third time in the past two days....

Our family is falling apart. Last year ended on a bad note with Kelly having to get her gall bladdar removed and Dad needing surgery on his wrist only for them to not be able to do anything, and this year isn't looking better. William's diagnosis and now surgery, and MeMommie passing away. I'm just waiting for the next disaster, because I'm next in line for something to happen. Either me or mom.

But some family secerets did get revealed today, like MeMommie was married once before and got re-married to my grandpa one month after the divorce papers were finalized, and combined my grandparents estate is $4 million, and between them they have $250,000 in the bank.

And yet the grandkids weren't spoiled rotten....
