“If you can do it… I understand. If HE will permit, but it isn’t necessary.”

“Brat Boss may be fine with leaving you here to bailed up whenever those pukes feel like it but I’m not. Talk about paranoid! That old guy who caught you! I mean not even leaving enough strength without him to defend yourself. One day, I’ll find where your person is hidden and see if we can’t free her mind… or something. Tch, and I thought it sucked to be me. Ngggh,” Nick cringed and clutched at herself, as the Crimson Bond bands flickered and tightened. They seemed to be adapting themselves. Currently, they lay loosely over her body, as if slightly to big. They were adjusting themselves though. Some already lay along the surface of her skin like crimson tattoos. At least they were only scarlet.

I mentioned that to her.

She looked up still shivering and said, “What do you mean?”

“When the Bond links are scarlet their influence is mainly on the body. It is considered the 1st stage. When they are the blueish red of blood from a vein they mainly affect a Bond’s mind, warping it to the masters wishes. This is the second stage. When they are red gold, they tie straight to the Bond’s Soul allowing the master complete domination of the Bond. Your Bond is unusual. It has the strength of a blue link Bond already but the links remain crimson.”

“Well, that’s something anyway. Thanks for telling me Azu. Now how do I get outta here? I’m feeling just a trifle weary.” She staggered. “Nnh.” She slumped, unconscious.
