Skold.... or D rather.... has been officially lost.
The search has been called off. My love has fallen. The tears I cry at night... my body's become so cold. I miss him... how he helped everyone out, how he always poked fun at me, how he'd always give me a noogie when I was feeling down...
I can only feel his spirit in this journal.... and in the crew....
this is the only thing I feel ever connects me with him anymore....
Sometimes.. I wake up from a dream... hoping D would b there to greet me... but it all ends with the same thing... tears and depression...
He succeeded, he blasted Carnaso and his kingdom out of here... but in the process he was lost. All we could find left was a black feather....
People say Skold was a pure demon, sent here by the two tribal gods.... they knew he'd have to protect us... and in the end... he did his job.
And now... I suppose their son has a playmate back with him.... over in the heaven that's been created.
I hope to see him sometime.
I just wanted to let him know... that his spirit still lives on around here. A statue sits in the square, people look up to it every day, and remember the hero of this land.
D will always be remembered, as will Skold, and that's why the statue has both D and Skold shaking hands by the forearm... a true mark of comraderie.
The crew and I work on... rebuilding some of what Carnaso destroyed.... telling children stories about our ventures....
It always brings me to tears......
One thing I can't shake though......
On a sattelite image we got of the crater... there was Skold's icon for the crew...
And on a stone in the middle... the word Element was etched on it.
Below that it said "R.I.P. Fallen"
Below that "Dec. 20 1993 - April 25, 2008"
Strange thing is, that's both Skold and D's birthday... which is a strange thing in itself... the thing that caught me is it said "Fallen" not Skold... not D either.
If Skold was indeed offspring of both the Dark One and the Light One... he would be named "Fallen" in all truth....
It's strange, but I still get the feeling.... Skold's the only one who didn't survive.
At times I still think I feel D's aura.... I just don't know.
I'm so confused....
Either way, dead or alive D.... Element lives on.
