When you compare the 2 side by side, which is really right here? Light, unlike darkness blinds you enough to where the good inside of you (your inner light) blocks out all the bad, so of course, we turn a blind eye to the person in pain, because we don't want to deal with it, so really think, is good actually good? But darkness, it just covers up everything good about the situation and represents the bad parts, then shows with time the parts which could have hurt us, so it keeps us in the dark, clueless to protect us and also leaves us to find the answers inside us. Now, darkness leaves you to find your own within the darkness, since the darkness basically is just the unknown, which the majority of people are scared of, whereas light does the opposite to an extent.
