I began packing my bag to go back to school for the first time in… I can’t remember how long. I was kind of nervous… everybody thought I’d cracked up so living with that was going to be hard, but at the same time I didn’t want to hide at home forever.
I was getting butterflies just thinking about it.
I looked at myself in my new school uniform… most of my old stuff had disappeared. (I found them later in the rag basket and rescued them. Ger only let me keep them if I swore I’d never ware them to school again.) I looked pretty good, all tolled. My skirt came to bellow my knee, my shirt was crisp and new and a brand label no less and my jumper was high quality wool blend. Even new shoes and socks… I had no chance to protest. The stuff just turned up as mine vanished… only my Tatty blue and bum bag remained the same. (mainly cause I kept those on me and was on hand when my Tatty blue was washed.)
I’d showered twice yesterday and my hair was still neat so… as far as I could see, I was good to go.
This felt so weird. I shook my head, yawned and turned to go.
