A story of unrequited love sounds sad and too cheesy for me, but after reading SoLoS by Kitty Burns Florey, I had a second thought. Filled with palindromes, anagrams and other words a word-lover at large would definitely lay his hands on, the book entertains while it teaches something most people forget: The world becomes what you want to be, depending on how you want it to be; so think carefully. The world could be a lonely place if you think that everything seems to go out of hand, or it could be better if you think that somehow, everything will turn out right. The book also shows the roles we portray in our daily lives; being a spouse, a daughter/son, a parent, a friend, an acquaintance, an employee/employer, a neighbor, or just being a master of your pet. I realized that you can never be good in all of those and that sometimes, you have to choose which role you would give up or take. A little advice I got from the book: "Animals do not disappoint"

The palindromes, just like the name of the lead character Emily Lime, are not just entertaining but is serving a purpose, which can be explained by the book's "preface"---
