GIVE ME MONEY
Here's my new stuff. Sorry it took sso long once again. Before I resume my storytelling however, I would like to make a point. NEVER NEGLECT YOUR FRIENDS! If your friend needs someone to talk to, TALK TO THEM! I'm sick of those sleezbags that call themselves friends when they don't care about the people they talk to. Never forget that the people you talk to here are real. They may look like pixels, but they exist for real somewhere. Never forget that.... Now without further delay, we rejoin Syris.....

Syris and his friends searched the entirety of the room for some kind of switch, lever, button, knob, or hidden door. For over half an hour they diligently scoured the area. They could find nothing. Psycho, in an attempt to find a clue, destroyed the sarcophagus and flung the mummy’s corpse across the room. They could see no way of escape.

Psycho and Megadeth sat against one the walls. Psycho sharpened his new Vorpal sword absent-mindedly. Megadeth closed his eyes and either slept or tried to work out some means of escape. Syris sat atop the lid of the sarcophagus, which Psycho had yet to destroy, and flipped through his spell book. He had an idea, but had to make sure he had the spell.

“Get up guys,” Syris commanded after a few minutes, “Its time to leave.”

Psycho slowly returned from the depths of his brain and stood up. Megadeth, who was now unquestionably sleeping, fell over due to a kick from Psycho. Megadeth, too groggy to grasp what just happened, got up and mumbled under his breath.

“What’s the plan Syris?” Psycho asked.

“Sit back and watch,” Syris answered.

Syris walked up to the wall. Quietly, he chanted an incantation in the Elvin tongue. A white light shimmered around the edge of Syris’ right finger. Syris continued his chant as he crouched on the floor. He placed the glowing fingertip on the point where the wall met the floor. He slid his finger up the wall, never breaking contact with the stony surface. Behind his finger trailed a brilliant stream of light, leaving a permanent luminescent line in its wake. Psycho and Megadeth watched as Syris led the end of the rectangle to the point he started at. Syris had made a vertical rectangle up to the middle of the wall. When he was finished he stood up and looked at his creation. Satisfied, he took a step back. His entire right hand began to radiate a white glow.

Syris raised his glowing open hand, and, as he tapped the middle of his rectangle with the palm of his hand, he yelled, “Passwall!”

The wall disappeared. Syris’ hand, which was now a balled fist, was still glowing.

“Go!” Syris growled in a strained voice. His companions hurried through the opening and Syris hobbled after them. As soon as they were on the other side of the wall, Syris opened his right hand.

Light burst from his palm, temporarily blinding everyone. As their vision returned, they realized the missing chunk of wall had returned to its rightful place.

“Passwall, huh?” Megadeth remarked, now fully awake, “I never thought that spell would come in handy.”

“None of my spells are useless. None!” Syris replied slightly irritated.

“Well, let’s move on shall we?” Megadeth said cheerily.

“You’re serious?” Syris asked incredulously.

“Ummm…yeah. Why?”
“We just got locked in a room!”
“That’s one setback!”
“You’re crazy!”
“Says the guy who wants to “slay the Zombie Lord”!”
“That’s…”
“Besides it’s only one more!”

“Fine, “Syris moaned in exasperation, “One more room. Then were do-Hey!”

Before Syris could finish his sentence, Megadeth charged at the next crypt. Syris shrugged, then followed Megadeth with Psycho bringing up the rear.

Megadeth opened the crypt’s door eagerly. To ensure that this door would not seal them in, Psycho ripped the door off its hinges and hurled it down the dark hallways of that hell.

“Good idea Psycho,” Syris commented. Psycho nodded and they followed Megadeth into the room. Inside were three chests.

“All right,” Syris sighed, “let’s get this over with.” Megadeth continued toward the first chest.

“This is probably another trap you know,” Syris said unenthusiastically. Megadeth, as expected, ignored him and opened the first chest.

“Finally, some real treasure,” Megadeth remarked happily. He pocketed some jewels and gold pieces from the chest. He also pulled out a sword in a sheathe. He inspected it for a moment and then tossed it to Syris.

“Here elf,” Megadeth said, “If you can read it, you can have it.” Syris caught the sword and inspected it carefully. The sheathe was covered in Elvin writing. There were tons of defensive charms engraved on the sheathe, appearing to grant the user protection. Syris drew the sword. On the blade was engraved a single line of Elvin text. It read, “+ 4 Sword, Defender.”

“Thanks, Megadeth,” Syris said. He put the sword back in it’s sheathe and attached it to his belt. Megadeth grunted absentmindedly as he searched the next chest. He pulled two large vials out. They had no labels or any kind of symbols. The first vial was filled with a golden fluid. The other was filled with a murky blue. Megadeth shrugged and stuffed the unidentifiable vials into his pack.

Finally, Megadeth approached the last chest. He rubbed his hands together anxiously. He took a deep breath, and grabbed the lid of the chest. He opened the chest, and all hell broke loose.

As soon as Megadeth had cracked the lid, a purple gas spewed from the chest. Soon, the room was filled with a blinding, odorless purple smoke.

“Shut the lid!” Syris yelled. In the purple haze he could only hear Megadeth grunt and strain.

“It won’t shut!” was Megadeth’s reply.

Suddenly the gas stopped spraying. It was dead silent with the exception of Megadeth’s labored breathing. Syris mentally and physically checked his own vital signs. Nothing seemed to be wrong. His body was functioning normally.

After a few minutes, Megadeth could make out two vague forms. The gas was beginning to dissipate. Megadeth walked over to the mist-shrouded figures. The figures, who resembled the sizes of Syris and Psycho, began moving forward. The remaining mist suddenly vanished. The two figures were only feet away from the thief. Megadeth was looking into the empty sockets of two skeletons. They cackled wildly and attacked.

Syris and Psycho saw Megadeth get attacked. Before they could react however, a roar from behind them caught their attention. Behind them stood a 14-foot, axe wielding, skeleton. Syris gasped and staggered backward. Psycho smiled and his eyes burned with passion.

“Go help Megadeth,” he said to Syris, “I wanna take this guy.”

Syris rushed from Psycho, a bit reluctantly, and joined Megadeth. Syris drew his Defender. Suddenly, his body was surrounded by an armor made of a blue aura. Syris shrugged and attacked the first skeleton. It reeled back and turned around to fight back.

Psycho turned to face the behemoth skeleton. It swung its axe in a horizontal swipe at Psycho’s head. Psycho ducked and rushed forward. He swung his sword mightily at the giant’s right leg. The skeletal gigas roared with laughter as the sword glanced harmlessly off the diamond-like bone.

Megadeth parried another blow from the skeleton attacking him. Then, he countered with a punch to the skull. The head spun around a few times, but remained intact and unharmed. Syris’ skeleton lunged at him but his aura armor blocked it. Syris ducked another slash and swiftly swung at its legs. The skeleton toppled over and it’s top half bounced away from its legs.

Psycho looked up at the laughing skeleton and tried to back away. The skeleton kicked him hard across the room and laughed even harder. Psycho slammed into the chest that had spewed the purple smog. He got up and glanced inside.

Syris’ skeleton was on the ground, its legs now three feet away. Syris stepped on its sword arm and grabbed its head. It clawed at Syris’ leg in an attempt to get free; Syris wrenched the undead’s head from its body. The body still feebly tried to stop him, but Syris hurled the still laughing skull into the wall. When the skull shattered, its body ceased to move.

Megadeth dodged and parried as he patiently waited for an opening. As he waited, his blade began to glow a crimson red. Megadeth saw an opening and struck. The skeletons head sliced clean off. Megadeth smashed the mindless giggling skull underneath his boot.

Psycho, who had pulled out some odd gauntlets from the chest, had put them on. He felt a surge of power. He felt ten times stronger. He charged at the giant skeleton. It swung its axe in a vertical arc. Psycho rolled to the left and kept running. The monster raised its axe just as Psycho reached its leg. Being unarmed, he had dropped his sword in the midst of being kicked, Psycho wrapped his arms around the skeleton’s left leg. With inhuman strength, Psycho tore the leg out from under the skeleton.

The skeleton, unprepared for the sudden loss of balance, crashed to the floor. Psycho moved in surprisingly quickly. The skeletons left arm smashed as it impacted with the ground. It laughed insanely as Psycho smashed its head with its own leg. Psycho exhaled slowly and dropped the leg.

“Satisfied?” Syris asked when they gathered at the center of the room.

“Very,” Psycho replied dreamily, “I haven’t had a fight that satisfying in quite a while. I almost got a rush of adrenaline.”

“O.K.,” Syris said with a very relieved sigh, “but let’s take a break before we move on.”

“Amen to that,” Megadeth murmured through a yawn. The team tended to their wounds and rested. The battle with the Zombie Lord was drawing near.
