Biography;
Quite a disgrace this was, once a powerful Lord of the Von Helson family, now reduced to a mere butler for humans and the like. Yet, he is determined to redeem himself, to let the Gods of the world wash away this 'sin' that has befallen him, to earn the title of;
Lord Walter C Britannia.
That fateful day in November, when Count Vladamir Von Helson was killed, the man whom he fought and served, practically lived for; gone. By whom, one would ask, no one would say. One person would say Edmund had fired the fatal bullet, others say Zhivago had misfired, striking the Count when was about to finish his nemesis, his son; Louie Von Helson. No matter however, the result was the same, the result meant defeat for all the vampiric forces that were fighting in the fields. The mortal forces managed to push back the elite battalions of now, weary vampires. From the gateway bridge of Aekea to the city limits of Durem. There was sheer panic among the Von Helson ranks, many now subdued either emotionally or physically, giving way to the advance with now little resistance. There was one sect that planned to overcome this tragedy and raze the human base of operations; G CORP.
Walter was one among ten of the conspirators, hoping in some small way the could avenge their Count's death and secure victory, trying to offer hope for now the defensive vampires they called brethren. In the Court House of Durem, which was occupied and used as a base of operations, they planned, drawing up strategies and readying their weapons. The young man just yesterday had been given the title of Lord by his superior, Count Zhivago for a successful raid in Barton Town. After several hours, they conveyed again the planning stage finished and ready to execute their plan. Their hopes were dashed when humans had broken through the threshold, determined to 'liberate' the city of Durem. Walter, almost, if not immediately jumped into the fray of battle once again, pulling out his rapier, slashing his enemies and trying to help his brethren which were falling all around him. He fought one human after another, his rapier stained with blood while his own body suffered blows, one was in his arm, the other a lasting scar upon his left cheek. Overnight the city was aflame, the dead littered the streets, the entire darkness of the skies had wrought nothing but death, blood, exhaustion, and defeat. Walter, along with the other packets of resistance, surrendered upon hearing that Vladimir's heir, Louie Von Helson had offered a cease-fire.
Truly a sad day indeed, thousands lost and yet after the fact, they say peace was ushered in.
Peace?
What peace did these creatures speak of, for there certainly was none, it was the direct opposite, the justice and harmony promised was rarely received for anyone of the vampiric race. Walter's detainment was only for a few weeks, he was documented by the government as a 'prisoner of war' and was treated as such, the officals not aware of the original plot to destroy G CORP, which other members of his party were tried and sentenced for. This land was a different place now, destroyed buildings, razed fields and ominous glances by members of society, the society which was supposed to 'welcome' them with open arms. The world dismissed this notion, for the plan would never come to fruition, not in this day and age. While he respected many humans before, most of this sentiment was dissolved upon which when he saw the treatment he received, recalling a case upon which a woman was attacked by humans, simply because she had been turned and refused to take the cure. The 'cease-fire' treaty demanded that vampires remained a pacified force, a subdued and ridiculed horde of creatures. That they abandon their honorary tittles, and settle as normal civilians while the general populace had this option remain open, them and vampires whom collaborated with the government of Gambino could keep and gain titles. Walter, couldn't stand it and like many others before him, went underground to re-group in the search for his lost brethren.
For several months he stayed hidden in the darkness, the life underground was one of numerous perils, news from the land above varied upon whom went up and gathered information in disguise, but many reported that the impossible was taking place; cooperation and harmony amongst vampires and humans. They reported vampire figure heads and relationships of romantic levels even. Walter, along with several others left the underground shelters and returned to the land of Gaia, taking in all they saw, indeed the information was truthful... to an extent. Humans were still ignorant and foul and many often remarking crudely whenever they saw a vampire, taunting or even attacking them on occasion. Walter scoffed, remarking that somethings never change, yet, despite this he decided to stay and 'work', finding placement as butler for various clients and settling once again in the city of Durem. Yet, he couldn't help but remember the past, combined with the now ever growing contempt he was receiving, it made him realize the reason he joined the brigades of the Von Helson's; His own sense of harmony with a new dominant race, and humanity in chains behind him.
This ideology still held true, but now, others he deemed as mere cattle would experience this as he enacted a plan of deception and bondage, breaking the fabric of the very system that held the small of ounce of equality amongst all creatures in the land.
