I picked myself up from off the ground as quickly as I could, and summoned my sword and shield. The shadow stopped, as I readied myself for battle - it too created some sort of blade, made of shadow. I charged forward and swung my blade - I had not time to be struck at first. But to my surprise, the shadow swung its blade as well - our weapons deflected one another.
