So why is it that I'm never content to be human? Or female? (But we won't talk about that. Or, we will, but not in that way.)

It has long been my dream to cosplay Rem. Okay, not very long, but I am addicted to both Death Note and anime conventions, which is a bad combination. People online say that the moment Rem entered the series, they knew they'd have to cosplay her. I say, that's nothing. I knew I'd have to cosplay her before I'd even seen the series, because I'd felt left out by the Death Note posse at Tekkoshocon.

Anyway, being Rem is hard. I think that's generally agreed upon by the world at large, but I had to try. I tried. Paper mache, it would seem is harder than it looks. I need a new medium, but I have no idea what. (Suggestions welcome.)

So I had another idea. I was watching the Death Note movie, and I was wearing my little black shirt that looks like a corset. It has little poofy sleeves, the only thing about it that I didn't like. Guess what? I like them now. I like them very much. I looked in the mirror afterwards and, giggling in utter fangirlism, thought I looked like Ryuk.

My new goal, and I haven't quite discarded the old, it's just in storage, is to crossplay Ryuk. It will probably look like Ryuk and Misa-Misa had a child, beat it, abandoned it on the side of the road in the middle of a period of sectarian violence in the New York Strip, but that's okay 'cause I like Misa too.

Oddly enough, the biggest problem is probably that I don't have my ears pierced, and I'll want a little heart earing. It makes the costume. And I don't know where you buy scythes.
