As I struck the shadow with my shield rapidly, I noticed that it began to lose balance as well as form. It started to scatter, revealing to me, the core - a single crimson gem, hidden within the shadow. I took my chance, and swung my sword at it - slashing it half... the shadow jump away like a bullet, landing far away from me, it began to dissipate... was that the finishing blow?
