Life in High School as a Freshman
Many people claims that high school is very hard. Plenty of students do drop out, but I do not suggest to take that road. This Journal is dedicated to all those people who wants to now about high school. This journal entry is about my few last days b
Seventh Day of School!
There is only six more days to go before school is over! I am planning to finish informing those who are going to be incoming Freshman. Remember that high school is not though if you try. Thus, I will relate it to my experiences.
Grades... yes grades puts many teenagers in doubts of passing or not. Those in elementary and even in middle school might not think this is true, but it is! All because of their grades, many students drops out of high school. As stated by The Mission of the Manhattan Institute, "The high school dropout rate is found by subtracting the high school graduation rate from 100. That is, a graduation rate of 70 percent implies a dropout rate of 30 percent." This will not discourage you if you try. For example, when a student do not try and drop out, it is their actions that caused that. They did not try and has to drop out. Wow, it is that simple. In fact, the main reason that teenagers drop out of high school is because they have too many stuff on their mind. For instance, a relationship should be obtained after high school. This will enable a greater success rate. Watch out boys! As stated in The Mission of the Manhattan Institute website, "Female students graduate high school at a higher rate than male students. Nationally, 72 percent of female students graduated, compared with 65 percent of male students." Recall that school is very important at this moment.
wahmbulance Important Notice: Habits takes time to change, but could change.
Students choices holds a great impact on students future, even if they know that or not. My choice of trying in school help me achieve high grades, and that also holds impact on the respect you get from your teachers and peers.
In the beginning of my first year in high school, I started to become worried about my grades even though I tried very hard that grading period. To my surprise, I got an "A" on that report card. Now I know that if you try, you will be rewarded with decent grades. "A"s are not easy to get, but it is not hard to get either if you try. At this moment, when I am typing an editing this journal entry, I advise students to try in high school.
Like when I entered high school, I felt that their is a tough road ahead of me. This may hold true for students who enjoys sleeping, messing around, etc. So those who are messing around at this moment, revert those energy to trying.
Those who wondered what happened during my day at school, it will be known as you continued reading. I forgot to input my class schedule in the last journal entry, which is:
Period 1: English 1P
Period 2: Chinese 1
Period 3: Biology 1P
Lunch
Period 4: Art 1 (An Fine Art class is required in my district to graduate.)
Period 5: P.E. 9 (Which is also required graduation.)
Period 6: Geometry

Accelerated classes are recommended.

During this day, I completed first period with no homework. It was an easy day with only reading. I finished my presentation for second period an presented it. Me and my peers learned about carbon atoms during Biology. Art class was just art. Physical education was cardio day, with 4 laps which is about... 1 and a half miles with two bleachers. Geometry was simple, study for the chapter 12 test tomorrow.

Memo: Next entry will talk about the time I think how unfair a teacher is and the information about my sixth day before the summer. exclaim
