Sankubō of Mount Daisetsu, Envoy to the Afterlife.
Name: Sankubō of Mount Daisetsu

Nickname: Sankubō

Age: 548

Sex: Male

Race: Tengu

Appearance: User Image

Height: 7'8"

Weight: 362 lbs.

Job: Envoy to the afterlife.

Birthdate: May 15, 1460 / Date of Tengu reincarnation: July 24, 1491

Bloodtype: XY

Weapon: Yama no Densetsu | An enchanted wakazashi forged by the Buddhist God of Warriors, Bishamonten. Sankubō has been in possession Yama no Densetsu for over a quarter of a millennia, it has never failed him once. The blade’s edge is often rumored to be able to cleanly slice through stone and even parry the attacks from broadswords. Yama no Densetsu’s strength comes from the tolerance of the metals used to create the weapon. It is measured at 59 centimeters.

Kanabō | Made from heavy oak and coated with iron studs, the kanabō is 4 feet of pure smashing power. In Feudal Japan, the kanabō was used to crush armor and break warhorse's legs. but because of it's weight it was used by only a few men. Because of Sankubō's great strength, he can wield it with much ease and attacks with surprising speed.

Equipment: Daisetsu Mithril Gauntlet | Brandishing Sankubō’s left forearm; it is solely used for blocking attacks. As it is formed from the mithril hidden below the mountain’s exterior, Sankubō hardly feels the weight of the gauntlet when equipped. Considered indestructible, Sankubō is glad to prove its worth by allowing his adversaries to punish it with whatever they see fit.

Gourd of White Powder: | The powder is a extracellular matrix, which, when applied to wounds, speeds the process of regeneration.

Discipline: Living in the mountains, almost all Tengu utilize nature and all its inhabitants to its fullest, may it be to heal, harm or hinder. Furthermore, Tengu were once associated with war, so it should be no surprise that they are familiar with many weapons and can use them appropriately. And as few legends state, the Tengu instructed clans of ninja, thus, ninjutsu should be expected. And finally, as yamabushi and followers of Shugendō, Tengu are unrivaled in endurance.

Family: All deceased.

Psyche: Sankubō is not as bloodthirsty or violent as the stereotypical tengu legends depict him as. He enjoys fights and the feeling when you land a solid blow, but outside the ring he is quite friendly. He loves comedy, laughing and trickery and is often seen playing tricks on passersby. He adores challenges and is afraid of no enemy. Sankubō also has human characteristics, like any person, his responses will depend on the mood he is in.

Bio: When his human counterpart was murdered for his beliefs in 1491, he waited in a celestial plane for what seemed like a thousand years. As a Buddhist he could not go to hell, but as a person with wrong principles he could not go to heaven. He was doomed to eternity in nothingness. But, to his unknowingness the Dog Meteor passed by the world in reality. And so he was reincarnated as a Tengu and granted great powers by the gods. However, unlike other Tengu, he was taken to the underworld where Yomi struck a deal with him. In exchange for extraordinary powers, he would have to forget everything of his prior life, take up the name Sankubō of Mount Daisetsu and do Yomi’s bidding for however long Yomi saw fit. That meant guiding souls to the afterlife where the souls fate would be decided.

Abilities/Skills

| Supernatural Speed, Strength and Endurance: | Concrete abilities given to Sankubō by Yomi to dominate the most threatening humans. These abilities have been specialized and mastered over the centuries Sankubō has had them. From all the gifts granted to Sankubō, he enjoys these the most, as Sankubō loves to fight hand to hand.

| Iron Skin: | Another concrete ability endowed by Yumi. Sankubō’s skin is not really like iron, more like stone. Yumi has toughened his hide one hundredfold so that his body will tolerate the damage he deals to himself through recoil. It is still susceptible to the blade; however, it may be harder getting the edge out than it was getting it in. Bullets merely bruise Sankubō’s skin.

| Flight: | Flapping the crow-like wings on Sankubō’s back, he can take to the sky for a limited amount of time. The weight of Sankubō’s body is too much for the weak structure of his wings, thus he can only stay in the air for periods of time.

| Planaria: | A specialized form of regeneration where the host’s body represses clusters of non-differentiated cells which rapidly migrate to a part of the body that needs healing. It repels impurities within seconds, plays a major role why bullets only bruise the host, and slowly heals wounds. If an extracellular matrix is applied, wound healing is speed up considerably.
