If everyone shared, and swallowed their pride, then we'd see the day, when nobody died...

Simple words, and yet such simple truths are near impossible to accomplish. I look to the North, where an enemy lies, and I think to myself, 'Why? Why can't they set aside differences from fifty years ago?' I'm not one to hold grudges, and believe me, I've tried! I try staying angry at people, because I know what they've done to make me angry is wrong, but I can't, and as such, I can't understand why fifty plus year old grudges lie around. I'm only one form of the human nature; there are billions of other ways a human can be. There's a good couple thousand, here on Gaia. We hide behind the masks of our characters, slip on their skins, and walk around as people we wish to be. We wish to be powerful, or weak, or submissive or dominant. However, I must think, that of all the people here, or in the world, there is one connection we can all agree upon.

We are glad to be alive. If you don't want to be alive, that's great; jump off a bridge, shoot yourself, it's done, you are no longer alive. It's such a simple thing, to say that one is suicidal. But it's like stepping into the skin of one's Gaia character. Is that truly what you want; to end your life? Or are you so afraid of the options life sets before you that it seems the right answer? Or perhaps you are craving attention that nobody seems willing to give? To say you are suicidal, perhaps even to show some marks of self mutilation will get you said attention. Why? Because no matter who you are, no matter how anti-social, anti-people, you are, there are those that love you. Parents, brothers, sisters, friends. They care for you, despite the fact that they piss you off, and you piss them off. You could be in the heat of an argument, but if you're in trouble, that argument is forgotten, and your friend is at your side. If they aren't, they aren't your friends, at least not the ones you could trust with intimate information.

I can't really tell why I'm ranting like this, I just feel like I have to let it out. Let me end this by saying the simple, simple truth.

People are going to hurt you, no matter how carefully they may treat you. But it's up to you to determine who's worth that pain.
