Thwack! My heart pounded as the noise filled my ears the instant it happened. Looking up, I found myself in a classroom with a woman in about her mid 30s with slightly tan skin and an athletic swimmer's build, looking at me and a book she dropped on the desk. I must have fallen asleep in class, because I could hear a giggle running across the room.
"Mr Castor, do you realize what you were doing?" She asked, though it sounded more like a rhetorical question, but I decided to play the smart a**.
"Well, guessing by the tone of your voice, I must've disappointed you, which I would never want to do."
Another slight giggle ran across the room as I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. This wasn't the first time I'd fallen asleep in class. Mrs. Solano's face turned red with either anger or constipation, but I went with the latter. As she began to speak, a bell rang somewhere from inside the school, making me think of that old expression "saved by the bell".
The class room erupted into activity as students began to put their things away and start up conversations amongst them selves. Getting up out of the desk, I headed toward the door.

My name is Tora Castor, I moved to the city of Visalia a few months ago, and transferred into this school, Golden West. Technically, I was still the outcast of the school. Therefore I didn't have much friends or people I could talk to. Some people were jack-asses to me and others were kind. Especially one girl I had met when I first transferred in. Her name was Christie Janics, she was popular and beautiful, but she had been kind enough to show me how to open a stupid locker and where my classroom was, since she had it at the same time as me. For the most part, this school wasn't so bad. But then again, as I looked up from where I was walking, to see the resident bully that every school has coming towards me, I thought that this school was a lot worse than I expected.

"Castor!" He shouted as he spotted me.
He was big for a teenager, maybe thats because he was the head captain of the football team, not to mention it seemed that all bullies seemed to have a certain strength that gives them the power to control others. This wasn't going to end well for me.
"Hello, Bob." I called him by his nickname because I never took the time to learn his full name.
Then again, if I did know his name, perhaps I could use it against him by making some pun out of it. But that would probably end up with me getting my butt kicked even more.
"Castor, I heard you aced that test for Mrs. Solano's class. I happen to have her next, so why don't you help me study?" He continued on but he didn't really want my help, he wanted me to give him the answers. This wasn't going to end well.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, Bob. But unlike some jocks I know, I don't have to cheat on tests. Perhaps you could ask someone else? Or all of your friends as dumb as you?"
Oops, I think I went too far. Sometimes my attitude gets me into trouble. I looked around to see kids gathering around us as Bob's face turned bright red. Like I said, this wasn't going to end well.
"Castor, you're dead!" He more or less screamed as a ham-sized fist came out of nowhere and hit me in the face, and every thing faded to black.
