"No! No! No!!! I don't want you to leave yet!" Dirce cried, gripping onto Caliban's shirt. "That idiot will never be able to take care of you....how can I trust him?" "I promise I'll come back Dirce, just wait...we have to do this so that the world can be better. Just make sure your army is ready to go okay?" Dirce screamed bloody murder and was held back by Frauden, she didn't want him to go out of fear. Fear that I would mess up and kill him. I wanted to tell them all to stay here but inside I knew no matter what I said, they would follow me. I almost couldn't believe it myself, I would have to fight Alistair. My Master...the person who raised me my entire laugh...and there was a huge chance I'd have to kill him. My sister wanted a peace of him too but I knew that it could only be me that defeated him, that was what was meant to be. I then flash backed to just a few hours back, into the wee hours of the night. I was training up in the forest when all of a sudden a black bird landed on my shoulder and was holding a letter in it's beak. "Eh? What'cha got there little guy?" The bird had dropped the letter in my hand and I had read aloud. Merlon, the time has finally come, bring your armies and 'friends' to the Silverwind Mountain, be ready child. Be ready for the most difficult match in your entire life or finally submit and come to the side where you belong. I look forward to seeing you young Merlon. Adieu~ Thinking about it more and more just made me angry so instead I sucked it up and followed the others to the mountain. "So..what's with this place? Why is it still snowing?" Zeke asked, riding on Witt. 'I am not sure...once Spring arrives snow usually ceases....It might be because of Alistair's magical influence. Such a powerful presence would indeed cause the structure of nature to shift....in theory anyways.' Witt answered, running as fast as he could. Merlow was riding on Yael while Ordell and Asa rode on Caliban. Shinto and I were the only ones who could take care of ourselves, at least that's how it seemed, meanwhile behind us were at least 10,000 of the best soldiers that Dirce and Cali could offer. "Come on let's just hurry! I can't wait to eat this guy alive.." Merlow hissed. I had only alerted them that Master would be here, I never told them exactly what was in the letter, if that happened they'd probably force me to stay in the castle, thinking I would turn against them. But to be honest I began to wonder...what would it be like? To have a heart tainted...but still be happy with a person I still cared deeply for? I didn't want to live like that but..but....finally something else caught my attention. Creatures made completely out of ice crystals stood in a line, guarding the top of the summit stood in our way. Caliban lowered himself and growled, ready to pounce. Then one of them pointed at me,"Only...you." it said. I pointed at myself and tilted my head,"Eh? What're you talking about?" I asked. "Only you...pass." it said again, this time slightly moving to the side. I hopped off Mooncica and I heard Ordell shouting at me,"Merlon! Don't do this! He'll corner you and you'll die! Please don't do this!" I looked back at them and then my own sister who cried out for me, but I couldn't hear a single sound. I mouthed,"I'm so sorry..." and then walked away, letting the crystal warriors possibly kill my friends. Once I reached the summit I looked around and shouted aloud,"Damn it Master! Show yourself!" I growled. He calmly walked out, body hidden by a black cloak,"Calm down Merlon...tell me, do you like this weather? Even when you were young you were fascinated with snow...then again...so was that man...Sadly this is not where he died.." he laughed. "I know what you did to my family...you stole me from this world! I do belong here!" I retorted. He walked up closer to me and petted the top of my head,"Ah but child, why is it that you then feel so sad? I know your secret as well...you hate this world. You wish to move onward and find someplace new...you know that you do not belong here....you wish that you never even came. Right?" he asked. I shivered at the idea of how right he was. "Master...Y-You're right...I hate being here...all I do is cause misfortune....and no matter what anyone says...I will always believe this. So I've been thinking long and hard about this since I was training and....I want to come with you." I said finally. I had waited 16 years for this moment....when the moment my Master would embrace me into his arms and finally acknowledge me after all of the hard work. I cried. But not for what you might think, I wasn't crying for happiness. No...I was crying out of true blue sadness. Never once had I actually prayed before but I remember meeting Asami and her teaching me. "Dear God....I'm tired of hiding in the shadows when there's so much light around....dear Lord....I'm tired of crying because so many of my tears have dried me out...." I said aloud. "With me though you won't need to worry about hiding or crying, you'll finally be happy." Master said with a false smile. I shook my head and ripped myself away from his grip,"No Master...I said I wanted to come with you but...I didn't say that's what I was going to do. Please...forgive me." I said to him in a low voice. "B-But..Merlon..you'll be miserable if you do this!!" "No Master...this is what I know will make me happy. Even if I stay here until time itself stops...I...I...I....I'm staying with my new family. And I'm going to stop you!" So I spun Mooncica and readied myself for Master's attack. He laughed and crackled his fingers one by one,"Little one...if I fight you...you shall surely die in a moment's notice. Just give up now, maybe you'll live." I threw a fireball at him and growled,"Never!" I hissed back. Master of course blocked it without even batting an eyelash. "Maybe if you have some sense beaten into you...you'll be fixed. I'd hate to waste years of effort like this. Get ready Merlon." He came at me with glowing fists, shooting out spells like they were nothing. It took quite an effort just to even hold my own. 'Dammit...Master knows all my moves, this is impossible...' I thought to myself. Quickly I slammed Mooncica to the ground and yelled as loud as I could, sending a snow tsunami at Alistair. A minute passed and he hadn't yet shown himself, I beat him...oh thank god. Just as I felt calm I felt air fleeting from my lungs. "Mas-ter?" I looked behind to see the man who'd raised me as his own choking me to death. "You never stood a chance..." he whispered into my ear. I wanted to cry but I was all dried out then a thought came to mind, it was something Ordell and Merlow had taught me. 'You will never be able to fight anybody with your current method. You can train until your very arms fall off but if you truly want to defeat the strongest enemies....you must run Merlon.' Ordell told me. I closed my eyes and allowed all of the magic nearby to be absorbed into my body. The aurora appeared as I opened my eyes. Perhaps it knew I was running? I kicked Alistair away from my body and ran to the ends of the summit,"In order for me to fight and defeat the strongest of opponents I have to run away from my old way of fighting...If I want to defeat you...I have to kill you. And I'm going to do it!" I said, making Mooncica glow with a rainbow aura. "That's what your father said you little b*****d! And he's in the ground!" he laughed. I rushed at him and punched him, fists full of magic. We countered eachothers strikes like we were two sides of the same person. "After this moment Master....After this moment...I'm never looking back again." I said as my kick was blocked by his leg. No Master...I meant every word of course I knew no matter what I had said to him it would never work so instead I showed him. I showed him, every soldier, and friend that fought on the mountain that day. I slammed the rainbow-colored Mooncica into the man's body. Her force could cause the very land to split apart if I had done the same to the ground. Master stood perfectly still and smiled, blood coming out from his mouth. "Heh....heh....Ahahahahahaha! Lathan...looks like you finally got your revenge but will he be able to defeat you Lady Fira? I wish I'd be able to find out that outcome....hehehehe...." He died with a smile on his face, that much I remember. One thing I didn't want to remember was all of the blood. It was like I had split him open from the seams that held his body together. His blood spewed on me like sprinkler water to grass. I blinked and my head started spinning as I stared at the blood on my clothes. Then Alistair's dead and motionless body fell down right on mine. It actually took me a few minutes to realize it, but I could've sworn that I was high. My head was spinning, I felt as though I was in some sort of fantasy world but as I looked down at Master, I screamed so loud that Mooncica's uncontrollable magic shot up a focused beam of light at the sky. I passed out right after that.


Merlow had been fighting actually riding her teacher's back the entire time. But for a split second she felt the world almost shatter. "Holy s**t..."she said, eyes getting wide, actually dropping her sword. 'What's wrong?' Yael asked, leaping on a crystal doll which caused it to turn into dust. Merlow looked up to the sky where a beam was coming from the mountain's summit, shooting straight up. "Merlon....Merlon!" she said, getting off Yael and running upward. Even though she tripped a few times and her legs ached she continued onward. "No...no....Big brother....please don't die...please don't be...dead..." Just as she had gotten to the top, the very mountain had created a crater and she saw Asami looking down into it. "Is my brother okay?" Merlow asked. "I-I-I'm not sure...but you can't touch him yet.." Asami said, shaking. "Why the hell not? My brother needs help and I have to-" Asami took her arm and shook her head,"Merlon is scared...he's so scared that he literally created a 'poisonous barrier'. It formed because of the high level of magic he was using and combined with such a sudden and powerful fear that it formed a barrier around him. If you go near him...I guarantee your very skin would be burned off." Asami warned. "Well what the hell do we do?" she asked, getting angry. "Simple, you wait until he gets tired...once that happens...then you can help him." "But...Big Brother...Is he even gunna be okay?" she asked. "I'm not sure...but one thing I do know is that he defeated Alistair, and his army has turned into nothing but dust. Somehow...that kid pulled off the impossible but I believe that he saw something he never expected..." "What's that?" Shinto asked. "He saw someone die...."



Ciaossu! Might be a little boring since I kinda ignored everyone in this chap. Everyone was mostly fighting anyway.....stupid unburnable icemonsters! *smacks them* Anyway....yea mostly wanted to highlight Merlon in this one *is it really that obvious?* and yey! Thank god Ali's dead, dead, DEAD! Trying to make Merli evil....tis blasphemy! The only thing that bothers me a little bit was a certain word but eventually I got used to it....hope it wasn't too short....tis getting late
