Everything was driving the whole group mad. All of the drama, all of the sadness, and all of the loss. But as the lava tumbled downward they all pulled together and made a mad dash to the bottom. "This is the only way we can go." Ordell said, holding Asami in his arms while riding Caliban,"We have to hurry." Merlon glanced backward to see that Shinto hadn't yet caught up and was about to be swallowed up by the fiery liquid. Merlon made a dash backward and took the cat demon by the hand and pulled him up. "Are you okay?" he asked. Shinto however only buried himself in Merlon's back, he was terrified. Even though the group was currently focused on running that was proving to be difficult with the surrounding wyverns. "Ugh this is getting ridiculous!" Ordell said, swatting them away. Caliban then released a loud howl that caused the beasts to fall right into the lava. 'That'll buy us some time...' he said, running down. Still more wyverns were following and come at breakneck speed. Dammit....Fira is making this impossible...her monsters and this volcano acting up, we'll never reach her...We're just getting nowhere fast...what do we do... Merlon asked himself. Finally an idea came to mind the moment they reached the bottom. "Asami..switch places with Shinto, Ordell and Cali...throw out all of your ice magic at us okay? We're going to become amps and freeze this place into a big ice cube~" So the two flew up in the air while Cali and Ordi took deep breaths and readied their attacks. The two shot out focused beams of light blue at the Holy Mother and the young magician. After five minutes Ordell shouted out,"That's it! There's no more!" he said, letting out his last bit of power. Merlon and Asami looked at eachother and nodded, they both held out there hands downward and shot out the ice magic. The once deadly fog that had enveloped the land had become replaced with an icy mist. But as the change became more apparent, glaciers and ice spikes poured up from the ground. Snow began falling from the sky and soon the volcano and the rest of the land became shrouded in a frozen ice haven. Yael gave a shiver,"Stupid cold..." he growled. The two landed back on the ground,"Let's see Fira fight that!" the two said. "Merlon...that was an impressive idea...but don't you think you went a little overboard?" Ordell asked, hand on his hip. Merlon looked through the horizon to see the snow covered land,"Oops...well, maybe the people here will learn to lighten up. Besides....the death fog is gone now!" Merlon said happily. "Yea but this whole place is now covered with a forest of spiky ice crystals, what happens if we get knocked into those?" Shin asked. "We'll just have to make sure we don't get knocked into them then~" Cali said with a wink. With all the ice, Fira should be...stuck, I don't think we should go fight her now when most off us are pretty tired..." said Asami, huffing for breath. Ordell picked her up bridal style and began walking back to the village while the rest followed behind. When the group had gotten to the village the people had completely flipped personas, instead of being dark and miserable everybody was actually happy! "You've stopped the curse! Bless you all!" the once evil little girl sang. "Uh...yea...can we just get a place to stay?" Merlow asked. "But of course, but of course! Here, this cabin is available, take as long as you wish~" the owner of the cabin said. Once the door closed Caliban stared,"Ya know....I think I liked these guys when they were emo." "I agree..." Merlow added, brushing her hair. After an hour or two of relaxation the question on everybody's mind came. "Asami, what were you going to tell me up on the volcano?" Ordell finally asked. "I can't tell you now Ordi...I'm sorry..." "Why not?! You're starting to make me worried Asami...please just tell me the truth." he begged. She looked at him and then Merlow who gave her a nod. "If I tell you..please...please don't run away okay?" "Asami...you know how I feel about you...I'd never leave you behind." he said, petting her light lavender hair and gazing into her bright blue eyes. She layed down into his chest and gulped. "Well...Ordell..the thing is that...we're gong to be...parents." she said, making everyone in the room gasp and Ordell pass out. "Ordi? Ordi? Ohmigosh! Did that come on too strong? Ordell?" she asked, shaking him so that he would wake up. Too bad Ordell was passed out and he was quite obviously going to stay that way. "Oooh....I knew I shouldn't have told him.." Asami said, tears coming up. Merlow gave her a pat on the back,"Trust me...it'll be okay once he recovers from the initial shock....but to be perfectly honest...I think you scared everyone out of their minds...hahaha." The two girls looked at the rest of the boys with their mouths wide open and completely blank and surprised faces. Merlow slapped her elder brother a few times to get him back to normal. "Asa...are you serious?" he asked. She nodded,"We even got Witt to check..plus it's why I was able to hold Ordell's tome." Shinto went up to her with big curious eyes,"So...there's a baby inside of you?" he asked, wagging his tail. "Yup~ Soon I'll start to get fat though...then you'll be able to tell.." Shinto poked her stomach and wagged his tail,"Hello baby~" he said in a sing-song voice. Caliban rolled his eyes,"I keep forgetting that he's an idiot..." "You're the one who's dating him.." Yael said, laughing a bit. "Um...you do realize that your brother is going to chop of his manhood once he find out though right?" Merlon asked. "Yea...that's another thing I was worried about...but with our little 'fight'. I realized that I don't care about what anybody thinks! As long as I'm happy with Ordell...we can go live out in the middle of a field someplace and get away from it all for all I care." "You'd really give up being the Holy Mother for some punk soldier?" Yael asked. She nodded,"I wouldn't care if he was a farmer....I'd still love him..." she said, hugging onto his unconscious body.


It was getting really, really late but I didn't care. Tomorrow would be the day. The day that either would make me or break me. I would either undo the curse that I brought upon this world or send Para and Earth to it's undeniable doom. I looked at Mooncica and sighed, this whole journey I had her but everyone would constantly rip on me for talking to her. But none of them could really understand, even though Mooncica was my staff...inside her just like Ordell had explained was a soul. I could feel whenever she was angry, sad, or even happy. But talking to her would make me feel better, that's why I went outside. "I'm nervous about tomorrow...I don't know what I'm going to do or how I'm going to do it but I know that I want to defeat Fira...but...I'm starting to realize something..." "Realize what?" he heard a voice ask. He turned to see his younger sister who walked up and sat beside him. "What's wrong? You look so nervous....you should try and get some sleep Merlon, we're counting on you after all~" "Yea I know but..." "But...what, why are you feeling so uneasy? Tell your sister." she said, laying on my shoulder. Yael was coming to mind, with that sad pleading look and what he had confessed to me before. I slid away from her,"It's nothing...I'm just....I'm worried that I won't be able to do it." "Do what? Defeat that ugly dragon? Of course you will! You're the hero Merlon, and heroes never lose. That's the way it goes in all of the stories...and this one is no different." she said with a smile. No...this was a different story...a different fairytale...it wasn't about saving the princess or saving the world...to me, it was about saving...myself. Coming to this world taught me so much...But I was beginning to think my time here was coming to an end. Soon I would be up dancing in Heaven with Master and the rest of my family. But I shook it off and smiled to my younger sister,"Yea....thanks. Hey sis?" I asked. "Yea?" I took her hand and lightly touched her cheekbone with my hand then I whispered in her ear,"I will never feel the same way you do..and I would suggest that you fix that little...'problem' of yours before you end up doing something stupid. For once...just try looking and caring about the rest of the world instead of me alright? If not then...have fun being lost in the darkness." I pulled myself away but she wouldn't let my hand go,"What the hell is wrong with you? How could you tell me to not care about you anymore...big brother....you're my everything, and you're the only reason I'm still in this group." "I know...but Sis, you need to grow up. If I did it so can you...if only you could see that you're killing someone..." "Merlon..." she got closer to me to where I could feel her breath on my neck,"I only want you Merlon...To Me...everyone else means nothing! You can't deny it Merlon, our hearts are connected so....why deny it? I didn't so why should you?" she asked, looking up at me with seductive eyes. I turned my head away from her gaze,"You...you are the stupidest girl I've ever met." "Merlon...you know it and I know it, if you don't take what I'm offering then...you'll be alone for the rest of your life. No one will ever love someone who doesn't belong....just face it Merlon, you are meant to be with me..." she whispered in my ear. "I'd rather be alone for the rest of eternity then be with a girl who cares only about herself! You are nothing but a selfish woman...have you ever thought that maybe someone else right under your nose would die for you? To me Merlow...you are just my sister. And that is all it will ever be, goodnight."

Even though I wasn't able to sleep well with my sister's venom-filled words still slithering in my mind I got up, and ate some breakfast to settle my headache. The table however was filled with so much tension. I on one side, and her on the other. We glowered at eachother through eating but it was obvious to everyone something was going on. 'Are you okay?' Cali asked telepathically. 'Glorious.' I replied,'My sister just finally revealed to me how much of a hussy she was.' Caliban gave me wide eyes,'Uh...Merlon, I think this is the wrong tree to be barking up.' 'No! Merlow needs to learn that this is disgusting! And she needs to learn that even though she's a princess....she can't have everything she wants.' I hissed. Even though we were having a battle of the minds Ordell was back to normal and thinking up ideas. "She will likely start bringing out the big guns so I want everybody fighting their absolute hardest...even Asami." he said. She hugged him,"Thank you so much! I promise, this mama-to-be won't let you guys down!" she said happily. "Yaay! Asami-san fighting~ Fun, fun, fun!~" Shinto sang. Watching them made me cut off my thoughts of Merlow, which was good...I hated even thinking about her at this time. I needed to get focused and think only about the oncoming long battle ahead. Though I was getting a feeling that this drama wouldn't be able to stay under our skins for very long.

Last chap for awhile...finally got it to be kinda long.
