Well, being as how I just bought my nitemare headband for 130k, my previous post is pretty much pointless and not worth commenting on. Therefore, I shall write a new one.
My dad, for those of you who are just tuning in, is a Navy Captain-select (meaning he's a captain but he doesn't officially get his stripes and ranks until he comes home) who is a surgeon doctor on main lines in Iraq. He works at a batallion aide station helping save lives and taking care of people who have lost lives. (ie. putting people or pieces of people into body bags)
He's taken charge in sending pictures of families lost loves ones to the states via. email or snail mail to try to give comfort to the relatives and friends. He's also taken charge of church services over there and has been ministering to many of our 'lost soldiers' over there.
He's gone through a lot since he left home on January 4th of this year but I have good news. (no...I did not just save a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico)
He's finally coming home!
He may not be on his way now but his two huge duffel bags are. ^.^ That means he'll be living out of a backpack for a month or so. But it still means he's on his way.
I'm flabberghasted, amazed, blessed. Every word I could possibly think of. I think I'll cry when he comes home. No...I know I will. Man, I'm such a loser.
But I'm a happy loser. Finally.
