Mao groaned and, having been soberred up rather quickly, pulled himself up to the top of the ramparts and looked out at the scene---though he didn't try putting any weight on his legs and lower parts just yet.
"That seems to be her job, from the looks of it, you nyo---ow!"
Rai had bonked him on the head. It was part of his borther's "tough love" approach to correcting his speech.
"Stop that. You've already crunched me in the---"
"---That was for something entirely different, which we will never speak of again," Rai explained coldly.
"---And you nyo I can't OW!" he said as Rai thummed him again.
"Yes you can. You said once that you do it just to act cute. And to get girls by acting cute."
"... I do nyot---*thunk*---OW!!! Okay, okay! No more cat-speak out of me!"
"... Good."
"... At least for nyow... " Mao added.
Rai rolled his eyes towards heaven and thunked Mao's thick skull yet again.
