History:
An evil, unnatural corruption that seems to be demonic in nature, is infecting the land. Plants die, trees warp, skies and trees darken. All who are touched by the plague are infected. The strong are warped, the old become sick and die, and the young are mutated by this demonic corruption. The people of the Berenz’jerek Empire have named it the Chaos Plague.
The Berenz’jerek Desert holds little life and barely sustains what life it does. The desert is predominantly inhabited by tribes of peaceful and shamanistic desert nagas. The Berenz’jerek tribes had normally lived close to the Zhar’tih Forest to the northeast for ease of hunting. Long have the desert naga tribes of Berenz’jerek feuded with the forest naga tribes of Zhar’tih, but hunting in the forests had been the only way for the Berenz’jerek tribes to survive.
Now, due to the recent arrival of the Chaos Plague which has infected Zhar’tih heavily, has warped the forests and changed the forest tribes. The Zhar’tih tribes have become larger, stronger and much more aggressive, making hunting in the forests very dangerous for the tribes of Berenz’jerek. The desert nagas had been forced away from the forests and to the west, closer to the Empire. Facing the threat of starvation, a war with the Zhar’tih tribes and also a war with the Berenz’jerek Empire, the tribes have banded together as one tribe to further ensure their survival. The Berenz’jerek tribe has tried to establish friendly relations with the Empire in an attempt to cooperatively find a way to reverse the effects of the Chaos Plague, but so far, all attempts have been met with hostility.
Bio:
Na’kawa is young naga in his tribe of desert nagas that live in the Berenz’jerek Desert, east of the human Berenz’jerek Empire. He has just recently come of age, and has become a hunter for his tribe. Being born while in the general area of light corruption of the Chaos Plague, Na’kawa was born with the mutation of being a hermaphrodite. Na’kawa has grown up around the many hardships the Berenz’jerek tribe is facing, and has grown and developed to be wiser and more mature than most nagas his age. He is moderately strong and can defend himself well in close range, and his bond with nature and spirits are strong, allowing him to call upon the elements to help and protect him. Generally, he is well-balanced and his age is the only thing really holding him back. Despite his maturity, wisdom and knowledge, Na’kawa is innocent and fun-loving. He is also known to be a flirt from time to time when the current situation isn’t too tense. Na’kawa shows potential for becoming a loved and respected tribe leader one day.
