the way out of writers block hopefully
well i have decided to just put some chapters of my book in just for the sack of doing something with it lol damn writers block iv had it for ages now lol
chapter one of the book that might be :)
their are many religions in this world but no one can tell you which on to follow. you must choose the one you believe to be right and then stick to it. the old teacher foster said as his old frail body moved creakily through the desks as he spoke. none of the religions in this world have power over the other all of them have to live in harmony he continued. just then we heard the bell to tell us it was time for midday meal. foster made his way back to his desk. right boys we will leave it their and finish this subject tomorrow. Roberts can you stay behind for a quick word.

i stayed seated as the seven other students left for the mess hall. just one other stayed, edward you want me to wait out side for you and we can walk to the mess hall together. its okay john im not really hungry so i will see you in clains class. john mayhew my only friend at the academy left the class in a hurry to catch up with the other boys and i was left alone with foster. the man who after my parents died had brought me back to the academy to try to make me a future for my self.

my name is edward roberts, im eighteen and have been hidden at the academy for the last three years. let me explain the academy is one of the only schools in the whole of the country of fain. it is for the rich aristocrats to send their spoiled sons to, so the they can learn to be rulers. here i am stuck here, the odd one out. im not from a rich family you see. mt family wasn't poor but we were no where near well off either. we had enough funds to keep are selfs in a comfortable way.

my farther was retierd from the army. he was only in his 30s but since peace was announced their was no point in their being such a large army. so he became a merchant. he did well for him self ans he, my mother and me lived in a nice two bedroom cabin. my mother taught me how to read and write but she also taught me how to cook and fix things. she said that one day i would thank her for these simple skills. i never truly believed her.

when my farther came home form his trips. we would have a day of family rest. i was allowed to forget my study and we would just sit in frount of the fire and father would tell us of his trips abroad. mother would walk all the way to the village to get special food so we could have a celebratory meal to welcome him home. we would all sit around sit around the table and use the special plates. then we would say a prayer to the eight, thanking them for bring are family back together again. after the meal mother would make us drinks using lemon grass.

father would tell story's of his time in the army and all the campaigns he lead. of how he and his crew of 10 fought their way back to the main army. how they had been sent behind enemy lines for reconnaissance and had got lost but ended up stumbling upon a secarit army head quarters. mother always sat in a seat opposite father knitting and every now and then she would tut and smile at him but she never said any thing to make him stop. in the morning farther would wake me up early and we would go hunting. he said this was to show me how to survive in the wilderness on my own.

i would always ask him why i needed to learn to do this on my own while i had him to help me. he told me to be quiet or i would scare away the animals we were hunting in the forest that surrounded our house. we would hunt till midday then we would make our way slowly back to the house with the things we had caught. mother would always scold us for makeing a mess of our selves untill farther would show her what we had caught. the she would smile and tell us to clean our selves in the stream that ran near out house.

she would prepare some of our catch for a midday meal while we where cleaning our selves so by the time we where finished the food was ready to eat. my farther always said you make the best food in the whole of the kingdom sasha, even better then the kings chef. sh would always say i know thats why you married me emmet and he would laugh and hug her. oh how i miss those days. after lunch father would take me for a walk saying to teach me about the forest some more. we would walk two miles west in to the forest. were we would reach a clearing. where father had buried some practice gear. which he would use to teach me to fight.

we would practice hand to hand combat first. as my farther always said what was the point of teaching some one to use a sword if they couldn't fight if the where disarmed. we would take a break after that and he would tell me different strategies to disarm people if that had a sword and you didn't. we would practice those strategies. then would practice with short swords and rapiers. i found that i was better with the short swords.

the rapier was to flimsy and all you could do was stabbing attacks. where as the short sword had some weight to them. you could use them to do different attacks. i always thought it was stupid to learn how to use the rapier, if someone came at you with a broad sword you would die quite quickly. that he wasn't teaching me how to use one for that sort of fighting. that was why i was learning how to use the short swords. you are learning how to use the rapier so that if you ever get challenged by an aristocrat you would be able to fight them in a dual.

the book hit me squarely on the fore head. it brought me back from my reminiscing of better times, to the dreary class room in the academy. foster still had some power for his eighty something frail body. i rubbed my fore head. what was that for i asked in a annoyed voice. foster gave me a scaving look. edward roberts you were not listening to me you were day dreaming. now are you going to listen to me. yes i said quietly. good now as i was saying to you i have something very serious to tell you. i looked at him as voice had took on a serious tone. i hadn't heard him use that tone since i had come to him on that rainy day. edward i'm sorry to say but my informers in the castle have reported that he has found out where you are.
