Ok....
I live in Hampton, VA, and I go to a Vietnamese parish. There are supposed to be two parts of the parish. One here in my city, another in Norfolk. But the one in Norfolk had been infested by bugs completely, so there was a federal order to be shut down. Somehow, the members of the Norfolk church believed it wasn't a bug infestation. They thought that my pastor had just shut it down completely and liked my church more or something. So they all decided to get rid of my pastor and shut down MY church for $100,000. Which is how much it costs to repair for the damages in their church. I don't understand how they could blame my pastor if he wasn't even the one who chose the land for the church in the first place; it was a different pastor. Now most of the members of MY church have signed a petition--including me--to keep our pastor. But some of them have not, due to vacation or not being able to be there on this day. The others, I believe, hold a grudge against my pastor or simply do not like him! And they've been trying to convince others to not sign either! In fact, my own Sunday School teacher does not like him; and I don't know how I can go to Sunday School anymore. That church of mine has been there since I was a year old; I was there when it was completed in 1994 and I was able to go to a church with part of my background. How the other church members could shut it down and get rid of our pastor for over thirteen years and when we finally became a parish instead of two sister churches is beyond me! Do you believe in the other members for their decisions?
