[ iPod ]'s Pets and More

Well, well. Winter was just everywhere, now wasn't she. Yesterday she'd been in the middle of a forest with her nose stuck down a rabbits burrow and today she sat stationed beside a riverside, slapping at the water with a paw. She was bored, obviously, and was looking for /something/ that may perhaps amuse her in the least little bit, whether it be hitting water, watching the liquid roll across mini rapids and rocks, or watching fish scatter as her paw pounded into the transparent substance. "So boring.. wonder where everyone went.. used to be so many around here.." The sheila mumbled bitterly, quirking a brow. This whole time she'd been pondering about just.. falling face first into this shallow spot of the river.. but.. then she'd be all wet.. and probably cold.. what a good idea, hm?

Ah well. Maybe if she was lucky someone would come along and /push/ her into the water, in which case she'd have a decent explanation of why she would be all wet. =P

(( Mew. x3 ))

Kinkarra quirked a brow, slowly... as he watched the she wolf standing infront of the water, from the nearby tree. His nostrils flared, as he took in her scent, and began to trail out, towards her. "Helloooo there..." He grinned, baring his teeth a tiny bit, as he stood next to Winter, admiring her.

Winter nearly jumped at the sudden appearance of this male. Usually /she/ was the one running up to others.. not the other way around. "Uhm.. hi," was really all this female could conjure at this point, as all the thoughts in her head hadn't yet all registered properly. "How long've you been stan--" Winter began, a brow quirking while her sentence was cut midway through, an ear jerking to the side as another voice was heard. Wow. Now wasn't she a popular one. One moment all was silent and the next.. blegh.

Literally falling speechless, Winter sat, eyeing the strangers that had seemingly popped out of no where.

" -- well, actually... i've been in the area for a few hours. I just figured i'd... come out and say hello. ... sorry for startling you, there." Kin nodded with a slight cackle, and sat down his rump onto the ground. His eyes, fixed on Winter. "Your coat shines beautifully in the sunlight." Kin was off in his own mind... completely oblivious to the fact that there were others around them.

"Thanks.. I guess.." Winter stated blankly. Great. This idiot used pick up lines.. figures the cute ones were always the dumb ones.. "Huh..?" Winter couldn't help but turn her attention to the pup, who continued to talk about her colors.. being stolen..?

..wasn't white a color?

"Uuuh.. no.. my colors weren't stolen.. it's.. er.. how I am.." She said slowly. Wow. This group was confusing. She had to entertain an idiot with pick up lines, and then a puppy who thought she'd lost all her color by someone stealing it.. certainly a new spin on her being white.

"Sooo. You new around here..?" She suddenly asked, eyes snapping back to the male beside her. "Just curious. havn't seen you around here before.."

"Yeah, i'm new around here, unfortunatly..." Kin rolled his eyes. "I have no idea where i'm going, anyways..." He sighed, out of his trance. Looking around, he eyed all the new faces that somehow 'magically' appeared. "Well, its nice to meet you. My... my names Kinkarra. Well, Kin for short." Kinkarra bent down, to lap up a few drops of water. As he leaned back up, he slowly shoved a paw in, to feel the temperature of the liquid. Yawning, he lied down, his paws off the edge of the ground, in the river.

"Pleasure." Winter replied shortly. What a funny mood she was in. On most occasions, she'd be all over Kin by now, either poking, prodding, chewing on his ear or tail, or batting at his muzzle. So it was rather.. strange that none of that had happened yet. For now she'd keep her paws off.

"And erm.. welcome to the neighborhood, I guess." She continued, arching a brow. What a boring conversation.

"Right.." The sheila sighed, rising to all fours before gracing her snowy white coat with a brief shake. It took her very little time to start moving. "C'mon," She called, though not even giving a blance back over her shoulder to see if the male was following. He could come if he felt like it, ooor he could sit by a silly little shallow section of the stream and rot. x) Choice was his, though she was pretty sure he'd follow.

Kin smiled, getting up from his spot. He trailed behind Winter. "Thanks. ... no one else had... greeted me yet, so... now I feel a bit.. better." Nodding, he sped himself up, to walk next to her.

Artsywolven
"Hmm," Winter murmered, eyeing the water from the corner of her eye. Good. So he did follow, just a like a cute little puppy without a home. x) "M'hm.. glad I could make you feel better.." She rambled distantly, not really quite 'in it', as she was more like zoning while staring at the water. To be precise, she was watching the depth, hoping to find that particular spot she'd seen eariler.. perfect for being knocked into. Not many jagged rocks, if any at all..

After perhaps five or ten minutes of walking along the side of the river, Winter suddenly came to an abrubt halt. "AHA. Kay, now.. Kin, was it..? Stay here.. Don't move. Just.. stay here.. like.. stand.. don't sit or anything.. because that would mess it up. M'hm, yep just stand right here, okay?" Winter repeated, assuming that the message got through enough to be understood. Stand here and don't move. How hard could that be to follow?

In a flash the female had sped off, leaving Kin to stand there. Alone. Hopefully he'd follow her directions, otherwise.. ah well.

A mild grin had spread across Winters face while she ran in as close of a straight line as she could away from Kin. After perhaps a half a minute, Winter stopped and doubled back. Yes.. hopefully he wouldn't move once he saw her speeding towards him. Ah well. Too late now. xP The white female was sprinting in the direction of the river and the male. When close enough, a giant leap was given, and paws outstretched, of course her infamous pouncing position. If she was correct.. she'd tackle him and they'd either fall or roll into the river.. if he moved.. well Winter would be taking a face first dive. Either which way this situation proved much more interesting than their last conversation. =P

Kin nodded. "Alright, i'll stay." The male sat himself down, obeying the order given to him. Silence fell to the woods, as the curious male awaited the return of Winter. Of course, it would be much sooner than anticipated. His eyes widened as he saw a blur of white coming directly towards him, he jerked his head to one side. His tail lowered as he stood still. "I promised i'd stay here... I ... can't move." Kin closed his eyes, as he took a direct hit, falling into the river. Air bubbles shot out his nostrills as he realized what had happened. Resurfacing, Kin saw the she and grinned, leaping for Winter, playfully.

Artsywolven
Good, so he didn't move. Not many would just stand there while someone was running straight at you. At this thought Winter smirked. It was rather amusing when she'd collided with Kin, as both had flown out over the edge of the riverbank and a fair few feet before gravity took hold and rushed them down into the water with a loud, large splash. It took possibly seconds before Winters fur had become a light grey, signalling that she was thoughrally soaked.

Resurfacing, the female had little time to actually breath before she was again pushed below the surface. Paws were thrown into a paddling state while she fought to again push her head above the water and take another quick breath of air. Winter pushed against Kin, which allowed her enough time to sneak up and catch a breath of air. "Guess I deserved that one," She grinned, struggling to keep herself from laughing, even though in the end she couldn't help but giggle. "I'm surprised you actually stayed there," She laughed, shaking her head, which caused water caught in her fur to fly in all directions. "I expected you to almost run off and leave me pouncing water on my own!"

As he came back up out of the water, he laughed. "You really think I was going to move? naaah. I'm not like that." He cackled as water sprayed onto him. Grinning, he lept out of the river and back onto dry land. Shaking himself out, all the way. Still laughing, he sat down, and watched Winter.

Sha curiously watched the two, playing. Her eyes fixed on the male. She recognized Winter, but... who was this male she was playing with? Grumbling, she slumped herself off of the ground, and moved in, closer... in another bush. Once again. Plop, and she was lying down. Her stomach gave off a loud, annoying, hunger growl which the others could hear.

Artsywolven

"Weeeell.. I mean me running at you.. with water sitting directly behind.. c'mon, seriously a /sane/ wolf would've moved," winter commented with a quiet laugh. "SO. What the heck even brought you here to these less than desireable and rather /boring/ spot of land, hmm? You weren't like.. stalking me or anything, were you?" She called, remaining in the water for a few more minutes before rollowing suit after Kin. Pulling herself up to the riverbank, the ivory female decided to leave her coat the way it was, which was soaked, despite the annoyingly clingy sensation it provided. She'd let Kin dry off first and THEN shake herself dry besided him, yes. Oooh the way of the world was so cruel. (( xP ))

She'd forgotten that she hadn't yet made a mention about her own name, as she was rather.. distracted with keeping this male amused and entertained.

Kinkarra paused, as his fur became soaked. "I came to the area because I was simply thirsty, since I smelt water, but I ended up running into you." A smile wiped across his maw. His ears twitched, as he raised his muzzle high, smelling the air around him. "... I could've sworn I had heard something." But, it had been too late, Sha had fled already, after being noticed. Kin turned back to Winter. "So, are you going to tell me your name anytime, soon?" His eyes narrowed, as he gave a slight grin.
