Fall is here, the heat is still there but the breeze is cooler now. I love autumn. I will miss my plants, I should learn to harvest and preserve them while I have the time to before the frost.
I got a strange paper-cut like scratch on the back of my hand from scraping it on the corner of a desk at work. I had it cleaned after my shift, as it wasn't even deep enough to bleed.
20 days later and I'm in a hospital room having samples taken and prescriptions given to me. Apparently it was so infected it took up a good portion of the back of my hand, and spread the infection to the red mark caused by the band aid I was using to stop the oozing. (It would ooze and drip if I didn't wrap something on it to absorb it) They are treating it very aggressively with the Mersa outbreaks going on.
The marks are an almost definite sign for ring worm infection, which is a bacterial infection that leaves a raised ring mark around the wound. Even though it is ring worm, we are treating it as if it is mersa, as a precaution. I am taking an antibiotic twice daily and applying a cream on it. I am seeing results as I'm in the third or fourth day now.
We scrubbed the bathroom, kitchen, and computer, I scrubbed my room with bleach. Anything I touched before was cleaned. my sheets had to be removed and washed that night. My blanket had to be bagged and taken to the laundromat where I had it washed twice. -_- Since delicate didn't seem to even wet all of it. (we all use fur-like blankets that were given to us as gifts) My brother had his washed as well, "Angelic Eruru" joined us on our boring adventure, sitting at a plastic table for about an hour or more.
I have my hand wrapped now with non stick pads and soft cling gauze. I change the pad each day, in the beginning I had to change them two or three times since they would be saturated. It is not oozing as much, if it even is anymore..
