Volume 1 of Whistle! is absolutely chockablock with sound effects. It's as if Daisuke Higuchi was paid by how many sound effects he put in.
For example, apparently the sound of offering someone a 1000-yen bill is FOOSH, and the sound of throwing sand/dirt/sandy dirt in someone's face is FFASSHHH. Most of them make a bit more sense than those... although I did find a WOONGEE and I'm still unsure what that's supposed to mean.
