I like to explain myself.
Have you noticed?

I noticed the popularity of the slash pairing of Sasuke x Naruto rose quite a bit.
So to set myself aside from rabid slash fangirls I wish to explain myself.
Actually I dislike 99% of gay slash pairings in anime and manga.
It has to be at the least psudo-cannon for me to like it :/

Anyway, enough babbling.
Below is a list of reasons for my liking it:

[1] They look good together; I like the thought of dualities.
SPACE» Their appearances and personalities contrast so that they each stand out.
SPACETABSasuke: pale, back hair, dull clothes (dark blue)
SPACETABNaruto: tan, blond hair, vibrant clothes (bright orange)
SPACE» Every good relationship requires balance—Yin and Yang.

[2] Both of their personalities are compatible and compliment one another.
SPACE» Libras (Naruto) and Leos (Sasuke) make a highly suitable couple according to astrology.
SPACETABThis match has high hopes of lasting and becoming real love. You are both outgoing, social people who adore drama
SPACETABand excitement. You both love being the star of the show, and you'll have a great time going out together. (source)
SPACE» Both know the pains of loneliness at a young age, a thing we call compassion.

[3] They are each other's "most precious person" and are willing to take a bullet (or kunai :'D) for the other.

SPACE...attempted to exact revenge even if it meant making his first kill.
SPACETABThe first kill is always a big deal, both traumatizing and life altering (child becomes adult).
SPACE» At the Valley of End Sasuke couldn't bring himself to actually finish off Naruto despite his will to surpass
SPACE...and eliminate Itachi.
SPACETABHe left Naruto unconscious on the floor, claiming that he wanted to surpass Itachi his own way, making his best friend's death unnecessary.
SPACE» Even though he plans to destroy Konaha, Sasuke avoids physical conflict with Naruto and redirects Team

[4] Multiple scenes—especially in the anime and OVAs—have dropped some hints of Sasuke x Naruto.
SPACE» They always flash back to the first "accidental" kiss. Blah, blah, blah.
SPACETABAn over used reason, but a reason none the less.
SPACE» In the Konaha Sports Festival Sasuke shoved a baton up Naruto's a**. (link...)
SPACETABJust the imagery is horribly suggestive where it shows a front view of Naruto on the ground with his "batoned" a** in the air and Sasuke
SPACETABstanding behind him with an odd look on his face.
SPACE» Shippuu! Konaha Gakkuen had some really suggestive dialog towards the ending. (link...)
SPACETABIt starts around 7:30 in the video, so skip to it if you like.
SPACE» One of the latest Shippuuden endings, Broken Youth, shows Sasuke and Naruto as rogue samurai as the

[5] SasuNaru is just as "cannon" as SasuSaku and NaruHina.

SPACETABbe the first one to kiss Sasuke, has it stolen by her rival Naruto. Sasuke and Naruto are rivals, so there's added tension there. And so on

[6] It combats one of my most hated pairings: Sasuke x Sakura.

SPACE» Why should the blind fangirl get Sasuke when his best friend could?
SPACETABHer "love" for Sasuke seems more like an obsessive crush with her oogling and sucking up. "He's so cool!"
SPACE» Sakura would make a better pair with Lee.
SPACETABLee actually shows his love for her, risking his life multiple times to save or impress her. According to their astrological signs, Sagittarius (Lee)
SPACETABand Aries (Sakura) are a good match that can be a "fun and warm union, loaded with love, togetherness and caring" (source). Besides pink

[7] My best friend and I cherish each other as they do and sometimes it feels as if I actually love her.

Hopefully, now you understand why I like this pairing.
You don't have to agree, but at least respect my reasons for supporting it.

I highly doubt the Naruto series will end with SasuNaru.
But never the less, I'd still like to entertain the idea of such an ending.
