a twig of dried up snot hung from his nose. Tomas Leferson just stared at me with a look of confusion.
"what do you want lefers?" I asked in the most bored voice i could muster.
"huh?"
"you came over here to tell me something?"
"Oh yeah!" he said, the spark finally catching. It was no wonder he repeated year 7.
"i came here to tell you that Jamie and Fran don't want you to hang out with them anymore."
I was shocked and speechless, though i tried my hardest not to show it.
"That's all right Lefers," I said with a cool, calm voice that i certainly didn't feel inside. "I already knew."
with that I walked away, shaking my bum a bit, the way I knew Lefers couldn't resist. Not after that game of spin the bottle anyway.
Of course I hadn't really known. I thought we were happy, Jamie, Fran and I had been friends since kindergarden. I remember when John Leferson (tomas' brother) had dropped his pants in front of me and Jamie in the first grade. I was completely shocked, but Jamie said smoothly, "I've seen bigger."
Ever since then I've wanted to be like her, and I've tried. But she was so popular, with her winning personality, and she was very attractive, so skinny. I was the opposite.
Iwatched them in the reflection of the principles window as I walked along. They were sitting in a group, Jamie, Tomas, Fran (what kind of a name was Fran?) and a bunch of people i only knew through those two backstabers. Jamie was singing aloud to House Of Wolves (a song sung by the very talented Gerard Way)

Of course she was getting the words wrong, It was stray not slave, but that did give me a satasfiying image of her teathered to a chain.
Five minutes later I was in the canteen line, another five minutes passed and I was throwing the pie out, disgusted with myself that I had even bought it. Another five minutes and I was halway between the library and gym, wondering whether I should buy another meat pie when the bell rang for class.
