________"Little Shop Of Horrors"(1986)________

Wooo Boy Howdy What a Flim...Never knew Rick More-a**s could sing..(Ghost Busters The Musical?)Now Im reviewing this one first, Ill get to the Original Roger Corman Film eventually..

Now The whole movie is a musical, based on the musical verisons of the film..Now this version of "Little Shop" is much much...Diffrent then the original in many many ways, ill list a few:
1.)AuderyII can talk(and He sounds like a stereotypical black man)
2.)Audery is much much more sluttier and has a horrible, HORRIBLE..Voice..
3.)Mr. Mushnik dies(In The Original only Audery and Mr. Mushnik live, while at the end, Seymore Dies..)
4.)The whole brainwashing scene was scrapped..
5.)The Whore death was also scrapped.

These are just a few changes..one major change..is the obvious fact that they sing..The songs..are..okay..better then HSM...but still not as good as Phantom of The Paradise or Mad Monster Party(BECAUSE YOUR DIFFRENT!)But there are some that stay in my mind, like the dentist song, Steve Martin did a good job on that role, in my opinion, and Bill Murray was great, like always..
Overall theres not much to say about this movie, they gave a lot of backplot not in the last one, that really wasnt needed, and just was to get a song into the film, which I really deplore in movies..Also made Seymore a Orphan..which in the original he wasnt..(His mother actually was really funny in the original..)
Overall the movie leaves you feeling like your missing out on alot, and really you are, its a remake, and remakes always change things like this, but this is the most drastic remake I have ever seen..
Now I am not saying its a bad movie, its an enjoyable movie, very cartoony and strange, but really there are some parts where its obvious this is a 80's comedy movie..and not horror..and thats why I cant get into this, I liked the original for its dark humor, and twist ending, and this movie just takes that all away...Also I never really liked musicals anyway..But I will give audreys dream paradise song credit for being very amusing on how cliche the american family is, also Howdy Doody is a scary ******** puppet..and SHOULD BURN IN HELL.

Overall:

Deaths/Gore:2/5 Nothing that specail, exept for the Dentists death, which was pretty cool..but still, I wish there was alittle more..
Screams: 0/5 No screams..just 3 singing Black chicks..
Survivor Girl:2/5 Shes really pale, skinny and slutty looking..
Villian:4/5 Well Audery II gives me a good laugh because of how racist it is, and the dentist is my favorite character in the whole movie..
Final verdict:3/5:Its Worth a Rent..
