Time
It’s inevitable isn’t it?
The fact that we die
Time continues anyway
Death happens to the best of us
We can’t escape it
Time is never-ending
It slows down at points
Then it speeds up
Then it’s finally normal
But still doesn’t end
It slows at times of grief
And at times of mortal fear
And when one almost dies
But it still continues
We can’t escape
Time speeds up when you’re anxious
Or when you are angry or mad
Even when you are sad
Time never halts
Not for anyone
I can’t stop it
Neither can you
No one can
Not even the almighty ruler of earth can
Might as well give up trying
Just don’t give up living
Life is the measure of time
Not hours or days or years
Not even centuries or millennia
Life and love measure time
