THE OLD RUN AROUND

Well, didn't do much this weekend; just stayed in the house mostly. Finished unpacking the rest of my stuff and then relaxed, nothing exciting.

Woke up this morning and I still look like a dark elf. Rather happy with that, I like the new look. So when I went into town I stopped by the salon. I wanted to dye my hair blue to match. It looked kinda funny brown. On a related note: What is is with all the crazy people here? The shop keepers were still dressed up and giving out candy! I mean, it's technically all souls day in some parts of the world but still.... [edit: went back to get something later this evening and the store owner had finally changed out of costume.]

So, I got into a discussion with Liam over at Crate and Apparel. Eventually he got up the courage to ask me for dating advice. It seems there's this girl he wants to impress but doesn't know how to go about it. Don't know why he thinks he needs help; the boy seems pretty handsome on his own. Still, it's sweet that he wants to give romance a shot. Anyway, I told him that I didn't have much experience charming the ladies. Liam seemed kinda disappointed to hear that. So I asked if there was anything else I could do. He cheered up a little and convinced me to ask some of the other guys around town. So I talked to a number of them, including old man Logan by the lake. Then the kid decides it would be a good idea to talk to one of the robots at the faktori (don't know which one, I have trouble telling them apart).

Now, I have no idea why the boy would want to go to a robot for advice on love. On the other hand, he dose work around machines all day, so to him it probably makes sense. When I got there though the whacked-out little droid refused to help me! Mentioned something about needing butterflies. What he'd use them for I have no idea; and on second thought I don't want to know. So, I spent most of the afternoon running through the neighborhoods and various parks looking for them. I finally gave up and went home. Oh well, try again tomorrow maybe.

On a final note: I did some more fishing today. Want to do it while the weather is still nice. Apparently that lake has more in it than guppies and old tires. I actually managed to catch a few bass! Think I'll have to get a better rod though if I want to see what else is down there.
