A shot echoed through the tundra of the woods
The impact was sudden, quickly entering the chambers of the heart
Pain dripped into the mind, slowly at first, but growing stronger
Breathing heavily now of the reality; pain increasing sharply
Struggling to keep going; the pain excruciating, as I struggle more
Crying to no prevail; wishing for a way to escape this beautiful Hell
Steadily, I begin to give up as my corpse plummets to the tundra floor
As I lie frozen on the ground, I start to cry in my final breaths
My tears stuck fast on my cheeks; my breath slowing dramatically
On my last breath: Curse my dejected deceived heart!
Alas, I close my eyes for the last time, to never open them again
This is my December, my life as it is as it first started…twenty-three years ago.
