Well let's see here. What to talk about?... I know! How about when I just watched "Desperation" last night on SciFi? No complaints? Good, because I don't want to listen to your complaints. Now on to the matter at hand. Stephen King as an author is very well written. He has an imagination and prose unlike any I have read (although Robert Jordan is also very well written I cannot compare them as they write in two different genres). Well the book Desperation was awesome in a word. It gave me chills and I could not put the book down once I picked it up (along with The Regulators where both of them share the same characters and even some of the same plot although in different situations). The movie was HORRIBLE. They cut out a character completely and many plot points. Like what happened to when Steve was in the gas station and had to kill the rat by swinging it over his head in a circle and jerking it like a whip, snapping the rat's neck? I mean that was very cool. And also why cut out the part where Johnny was in the police station's closet finding a gun and had a thought of the dead girl sitting against the wall. A thought that he remembered recieving oral sex from a girl in college in the same position. Maybe I'm being too critical with it being a t.v. movie and all, but I figured that since Stephen himself was involved in the making of it that it would have been more true to the book.

This is not giving me good hopes for the upcoming Wheel of Time movies based on the Robert Jordan books. Although I do truly hope that they do Mr. Jordan's memory justice when they make them, may the Light illume his soul forever.
