The Ride back to the Burning Blade's castle was fast, but silent. Dante couldn't help but let his thoughts wander about in this strange ride. Zephiel simply left Jareth there at the foot of the throne. He deserved a burial, or a cremation, or something to honor his death. Anything to calm his troubled mind. Perhaps there was a higher reason behind all of this death. Something that could turn the tides of destiny with a single thought. But Dante was getting ahead of himself, and he could see the highest towers of his castle rising from the hills. "This castle belong to you, Dante." Zephiel said. "What will you do with it?" The two stood aside from the rest of the Order, who filed into the Castle silently. "You can have it." Dante murmered. "I wouldn't know what to do with such a force as the Order behind me. It would drive me to madness like it did my father." "As you wish, my master." Zephiel bowed as best he could on horseback. "Don't call me master, Zephiel. I will never accept that title." Zephiel grunted in return. "Than what should we call you?" "Just Dante. That's my name... I can't rule the Order, I'm not even full-blooded yet." "Would you like me to fix that?" Dante stayed silent for a few moments. Soon enough, though, he nodded. "But first I would like to know a few things." "I'm sure you would..." Zephiel said, and kicked his horse into the castle. Dante followed, steering towards the stables. A few minutes later, the two sat alone in Dante's new bedroom. It was his father's, and Dante steered his eyes on his uncle instead of viewing his surroundings. There would be time for that later, when he was alone. "I want to know... What is the 'Council' that my father was talking about?" Dante inquired quietly. Zephiel laughed. "The shadow council is what governs the supernatural in this realm. Anything that anyone does that is not 'normal' is recorded by the Council, kept confidentially in case of emergency. I happen to be one of the thirty-seven council members, many of which you probably have heard of in legend and lore. Count Vladmir Von Tepes, the Vampire known as Dracula, is rather high on this list. I'm sure that you have heard of him?" Dante nodded. "I have. Me and my father spoke of him and sir Lioncourt... is he on there too?" "No. But his mentor is."
