A howl a day
The...Introduction?
Okay, so I'm never good at introductions. They either come off as too awkward or too polite and well-mannered. Since I don't exactly like to reveal much personal information online, I guess I'll just say the basics.

To who it may concern:

My name is Wolfriver. I am seventeen, asian, a girl, and I live in Canada.

I like anime, To be more specific, I enjoy watching anime and drawing in anime art style, with my Wacom graphire tablet and Photoshop CS2. It's a match made in heaven. If you would like to see my artworks, here are two links:

Here and Here

The second link leads to my non-for profit campaign, which you guys should check out and support because it's for Free the Children :]

Moving on, in addition to anime (oh god, this feel;s like a personal essay) I also enjoy what some may know was yaoi. Yes. Y-A-O-I. Got it memorized? Yaoi is, to me, an essential part of life. I love men. And when I see two men together, well, it's like getting one of those 2 in 1 shampoos, or computers. Two awesome things combined in perfect harmony, and that's yaoi for me. Yeah, okay, I know it's not the most work-safe material out there. So sue me razz

So aside from yaoi, I also have another special hobby: cosplay. Cosplay is a hobby that I have never thought I would get into, and also one in which I regret not starting sooner (when I was young). I've find immense enjoyment in cosplay because not only do I get to create my own costumes, I get to role play my favorite anime characters, which is very important to me because I love to act, and I feel more connected to my favorite anime characters when I'm in cosplay. Weird? Perhaps, but, to each their own, right? Another aspect of cosplay that I thoroughly enjoy is photoshoots. I LOVE posing, and as shallow as it may sound, I love attention. Who doesn't? Who doesn't want fans? Hey, don't raise your eyebrow at me, you know that you feel guiltily happy whenever somebody appreciates the effort and the accuracy of your costume, cosplayers wink

Alright, so I wrote a lot about anime, but I never talked about my other hobbies. Well, in the area of music, I am a violinist, and I have a deep interest and appreciation for classical music. It's not that I despise modern music, actually, I enjoy classical, rock, hip-hop, techno, metal, punk, ska, and many other genres of music (except for rap...uggh). Sometimes I feel sad that classical music has a stereotype of being "old", "boring" and "uncool", when in fact, classical music is timeless. This is why it;'s classical; it doesn't matter which time period you're in, you can always enjoy classical music. In fact, many prestigious music artists today have knowledge in classical music, and some even appreciate it. It is truly an intelligent and complex genre of music. Modern music, however, does not possess the complexity of classical music, but it is definitely enjoyable to listen to. In fact, I love My Chemical Romance since their first album, and I also like ABBA. Protest the Hero, Metallica, ORESKABAND, Ne-Yo, and Ali-Project are just some of the many artists and bands I love to listen to. I'm even thinking of taking guitar lessons and starting a band, but...that's for the far future. For now, GuitarHero is my friend smile

And speaking of GuitarHero, did I mention that I LOVE playing videogames? biggrin I remember my first Pokemon Game...Pokemon Yellow on the Nintendo Gameboy Colour. Who's old enough to remember that? XD Well, my first "official" game console was the Playstation 2. From that console, the first game I played was FFVIII. From that game, my interest in RPG caught like wildfire, and soon, I was playing FFX and the Xenosaga series, which is probably my favorite RPG series. At the same time, I discovered Kingdom Hearts...and to me, that was a revolutionary game, combining Sqaure Enix and Disney...it was brilliant, imo. KH2 wasn't as epic as the first one, but still nice, nonetheless. After KH2 came...Soul Calibur. That wasn't very memorable. But after Sol Calibur, while browsing through a Playtation magazine, I stumbled upon a very curious advertisement. The game? Silent Hill 3. The first thing that intruigued me was the graphics. I have never seen a game with so much blood..and the monsters! The concept of a deformed human body has never crossed my mind as an object of fear until I saw the illustration of a Closer. So, supported by my curiosity, I purchased the magazine, which containeed a demo of SH3,. and I popped it into the PS2 as soon as I got home.

I didn't last ten minutes, but I was hooked.

I was terrified of the gory environments in Silent Hill 3, so I searched for its predecessors. I could not find SH1 anywhere, so I settled on SH2, which I heard had a softer take on monsters. So when I did play it, I actually managed to keep up quite well, and surprisingly, I got used to the environments. Silent Hill 2 is awesome..I simply love the psychologic aspect of the plot ad the monsters, it's quite genius, actually. And the BGM...SO GOOD. So yes, now you know I love games.

Up until this point, everything I have written is pretty much my past bosessions. What I'm really into right now is Torchwood. The BBC spinoff of Dr.Who. The reason? Yaoi. Plain and simple. Janto. John Barrowman. Have your pick. And if Christmas can't get any better, I just got TW Season 1 and 2 on DVD. sakajldsfhafhdsafhdsafl;f

DO YOU KNOW HOW EXCITED I AM TO SEE JANTO ON THE BIGSCREEN?!

Okay, sorry...I got a little too excited there. Calm down, wolf, clam down.

Well anyways, I have pretty much told you all most of the things about me. If I were to tell you guys everything about me, this post would be too long, and plus, I like to have some air of mystery enshrouding me, even if that air is pretty thin and unintimidating.

Still, I believe I have wirtten enough about myself, so good day.

~Wolf

P.S. Did you know I just got a new LCD LG 20" monitor?! IT'S FRICKEN SWEEEET

P.P.S. RUDOLF HAS A v****a! OMG!!
