I started off the vacation by spending the night at a friend's house and then having that friend spend the next night with me. xD On Friday, I went out with four friends to the mall and to see Twilight (again); I'm not a big fan of the series, to be honest, but there's something about it that's pleasing to me. Then again, there's something about it that turns me off ... Anyway, we had a blast; we ran into a couple of friends who were coming home from Oni-Con at the theater. That was pretty awesome, to say the least. I wish I had gone, and yet, I enjoyed Becca's sweet sixteen. I kind of really hope that there will be more conventions at Houston in 2009; I haven't been to one since 7th grade, and it was tons of fun. I went with my dad that year; he's a pretty cool dad, but it's sometimes better to go to places with friends because you know they'll enjoy it just as much as you will.
She then spent the night on Saturday; we went to the mall for a couple hours of both days to get our Christmas shopping done. I got my whole family gifts, and I plan on going to Barnes and Noble before the 24th to get just a few more things. We'll see how that goes.
Now, onto Gaia. Let's see. The Christmas Event is going great! I've gotten every item, and I'm grabbing a few more for future sales use. (Just kidding; I usually give these away to friends.) The items are gorgeous this year; I think the ones you get from caroling are a little prettier than the ones you get from helping Santa. They compliment each other, however. Socks are always my favorite things, and the peppermint theme is just darling. ^__^ The item update in Gambino Outfitters was a little ... sad, to say the least. The gorgeous jackets were worth the wait, but really ... I wish we could have gotten a few sets in every store. I was expecting something ... not massive, but substantial. Well, I hope the event ends well (with Santa and all) and makes up for the lack of Christmas-y shop items.
Well, if you look at my toybox (see my signature for the link), you'll notice that it has its own thread now. I think this will make things a lot easier for updating whenever I receive new graphics or art. Bump•Cationing! will be open until a few days into 2009; feel free to order! Also, Christmas Gift Certificates are on sale. I think Gift Certificates always are nice for gifting. ^__^ The Newbie Supporting and Training Guild's Christmas Event Subforum has opened; feel free to drop by and enter the many contests available to everyone! I'm hosting a contest/project in there, as well, so make sure to check it out!
With that update, I'm off to go help Santa. >w< Comment!
