The Blackhole---> @
One word: mangos are good.
Teacher/Advisor Comment
A while back I got an assignment in English class to write a paragraph/essay on "perverseness". NO, not as in perverted but as in turning away from what is right or good. Same thing right? Lol! Just kidding! Any way, I wrote mine on the time I walked to publics with some of my close friends and -LO BEHOLD!- got in trouble for it. Well, I though it was a piece of s**t since I only got one night to write it, so I wrote on the top of my paper "Do Not Read" because she warned us to do so if we were bashful or something. With that done I shrugged it off and completely forgot about it. One week later, I get an advisor note telling me to meet with Mrs.Helwig (my advisor/English teacher) to talk about my interim report card. When I went to go see her she greeted me and escorted me inside her office. We talked for a while about my C in government (I HATE IT SO MUCH!!) and then she just randomly says, "May I read your paper on perverseness to the class?" I just stared for a moment before remembering the damned thing and said "Uhhh..." Then she begins in a begging sort of manner, "But it's such good writing, Xenia! It really is well done. It would make me happy if you'd change your mind." I was wowed (Not a real word. I know.) beyond imagination...not really but I was still a bit shocked. I mean, I thought it was a piece of crap and here she is praising me! So I said yes and she thanked me as I left, only to turn around the building and walk into her classroom on the other side. xd If you wanna read the essay thingy, here it is:

Inclination toward evil is a part of every human personality, including mine. The fact that it is forbidden makes it even more irresistible. As a child, I could not help but look for activities that would give me a thrill, thus leading to perverseness.

One day, when my friends and I decided to put up a lemonade stand, we collected a large sum of money and were anxious to spend it on gumballs and all kinds of knickknacks as well as new supplies. Since my friends' dad was fast asleep, being that he had a night shift and all, and my parents had gone out to run errands, my friends suggested we walk to Publix instead of waiting for them to come back. My friends had done it many times and because it is right outside our neighborhood, they were naturally granted permission and only left a note so their parents and siblings knew where they were. I, on the other hand, had never made the trip to Publix by foot and obviously needed to ask my parents, so my friends waited for me out side while I went inside and looked for my parents. I knew they were gone, so I stalled, letting them think I was asking so they would let me come along. As we neared the entrance to our neighborhood, I felt unbearably happy. This would be my first time leaving the neighborhood by foot and I was doing it with my friends, which made me even more blissful. Cars whizzed by as we walked alongside the road and stopped for a moment at the intersection before crossing hesitantly. Beforehand, they warned me that this particular intersection was quite dangerous and to stay close and alert. My body tingled with excitement when we crossed and finally reached and entered Publix. Once inside, we split up to find more ingredients for our lemonade. It didn't take long and we ended up having $10 extra so we decided to go next door to the dollar store, allowing each of us to buy two things. Having bought our knickknacks, we gathered outside and prepared to head back when I caught a glimpse of the most terrifying thing: the red minivan. My mother owned one of the same kind and color and I knew it was she, so I hid as best as I could behind a column but my friends stood around me confused. The minivan parked and out came my mother fuming with anger as she ordered all of us to assemble in the minivan for a lecture. After we all climbed in the van, I glanced at the clock and it read 4:44pm. That time has been engraved in my mind and very time I read it on a clock I'm reminded of my wonderful journey's horrid end, but that hasn't stopped me from craving a thrill, hence the scar on my chin.

All humans have a moment of perverseness. It's practically a law of human behavior to crave the forbidden.
