It had been 20 years since that day...

The day when we ourselves unleashed a horror unspeakable...

Year 2008...

December 12th, 9:36 pm:
A young woman was brought in Mt. Moon Memorial Hospital, rushed into the emergency ward after suffering massive bloodloss from a deep bite wound on her left bicep. Friends claimed that a deranged hobo leper attacked her as they exited a nightclub through the backdoors, taking a 'chunk' of her before they managed to fend the man off. The cops that tried to subdue the man reported the same observations, with the hobo trying to take a "bite out of [them]" as one of the cops reported. They had no choice but to put down the attacker. Coroner that autopsied the attacker's corpse claimed that the man possessed unusually large canines for a human and that the man's muscle structure resembles more of an ape.

December 13th, 12:41 am:
The victim started experiencing minor convulsions and profuse foaming of the mouth. It was dismissed as early signs of rabies, but blood tests suggested otherwise. In fact it showed that the woman should be in perfect health...

December 13th, 12:56 am:
Victim flatlined for an approximate time of 8 minutes. Doctors pronounced time of death at 1:04 am and it was said that the victim pulled a "Lazarus" and came back to life all by herself. Doctors and nurses alike all claimed a medical miracle.

December 13th, 1:43 am:
Open sores and boil-like blemishes started appearing on the woman's skin. Doctors still can't find anything wrong with the woman, even after various bloodtests and DNA swabs. Another attack of seizure occured, this time violent enough for the doctors to decide administering sedatives on the victim.

December 13th, 2:45 am:
Victim started convulsing once more, this time as a nurse tried to sedate her, she managed to maul the woman, who got out with scratches and bites all over her forearms before security managed to harness the girl. Doctors finally decided to euthanize the obviously delirious girl, afraid that she might contain a new strain of virus unknown to mankind.


Oh how right they were...

December 13th 3:23 am:
Rebecca Walker, the injured nurse of Mt. Moon Memorial was treated for the wounds inflicted on her. It was requested that she be quarantined at home at the moment, that she would be put under observation but considering she is not exhibiting symptoms she was not kept at the hospital any longer.

December 13th 7:52 am:
A young child was brought into the emergency ward of Mt. Moon Memorial, a deep bite wound on the neck of the girl. Her name was Danielle Mikaela Walker, daughter of Rebecca Walker, nurse of Mt. Moon Memorial Hospital...











...20 years and mankind is still barely hanging on

The outskirts of New York border...

Jersey City

The worst of the Apocalypse have seemed to die down...for now. The virus did not spread as fast as it was predicted. Human survivors have started to gather up in small congregations, trying to start over by building fortresses and garrisons as more and more of the world decayed. Small pockets of civilization are sprouting out from the dust and blood that had caked the earth for years. What follows now is the tale of a small commune just outside of New York, a walled city with its population trying to live the rest of their lives as normal as possible amidst all the death and suffering......
